Format of Lab reports:

1. The title of experiment, your name, and the report submission

date

2. Introduction: A very brief overview of the objectives,

emphasizing the physical principles involved, and the
conceptual basis of the experiments.

3. Body of report: Organize this into sections corresponding to

the individual experiments completed in your lab. State what
was measured and how. Include sample calculations,
tabulations or graphs of the results and error analysis.. Draw
graphs using graph papers, clearly writing scales used.
Computer generated graphs are not acceptable.

4. Write your conclusions (short).

5. Each group member should write his own individual report.

Needles to say you can discus with your classmates;
however, the words and analysis should be your own. We
expect students to spend at least six hours in completing their
report. Expected length of report: No more than 8 to 10
pages, including graphs and tables, however grades will not
be based on sheer length.
