I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards Demonstrates command of the conventions of standard English
grammar
and usage when writing or speaking.
B. Performance Standards Uses the correct function of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives,
and
adverbs in general and their functions in various discourse (oral
and
written)
C. Learning Competencies & At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
Objectives  Identify ways to protect oneself from the exposure to
intense light and heat of the sun.
 Demonstrates the proper use of the things (hat, sunblock
lotion, sunglasses, and umbrella) on protecting oneself
from the excessive heat of the sun.
 Shows awareness of protecting oneself from the
exposure of intense heat.

We use the Positive Degree when we describe a person,
animal,place or thing.This is the adjective in it’s simplest form.

The adjective smarter in sentence 2 is Comparative Degree.

comparing 3 or more nouns)

4. When do we use the superlative form?

Application Direction: Choose a Partner and write down 2 sentences for


each degree of adjectives.(Positive, Comparative &Superlative)

IV. Evaluation Test I. Direction: Complete the sentence with the appropriate
degrees of adjectives.

Direction: Determine the degrees of adjectives used in the


sentences. Write positive,

comparative and superlative if the sentences fall under one of


the three and underline

the adjective in each sentence. Write your answer before the


number.
