Nu:Carnival Frequently Asked Questions
(A newbie guide)
By: Kuku (ftmvat), updated July 14 2024
Welcome to Nukani newbie guide, this guide is mostly frequently asked questions for
new players to the game. For general gameplay guide, please visit this instead! For
questions, or suggestions, please ping me on Nu:Carnival Official Server (ftmvat).
1. How do I beat chapter 4- chapter 6? How do I increase my battle power?
A: The answer to these questions would be level up. After Chapter 3, there’s going to
be a difficulty spike and the simplest way to progress is to level up. Grind stages like
holy water, coin, intimacy mats farming to keep leveling up. Each energy spent = 12
exp so just keep grinding. Most story stages do not have a guide except boss stages, so
the answer will most likely be “level up”, same for event farming stages.
2. What should I prioritize when building units?
A: For new players, the most important thing is levels. In nukani, ascensions are kings
but since you’re starting, leveling up should be prioritized. Ignore potentials as they
are extremely expensive. I wouldn’t recommend working on potential until you’re
level 50 ish.
General priority order: Ascensions > Level = Intimacy > Potential
Ascensions matter the most when it comes to building units but it’s locked behind
gacha. Therefore you should work on level+intimacy while you can. Intimacy gives a
50% stats boost for R & SR and 60% stats boost to SSR so they’re extremely
important in team-building. Potential should be left last due to its expensive nature +
low boost.
3. “I just pulled SSR [insert name], is he good? What’s the normal team comp?”
A: Though some SSRs may be usable at 1*, we recommend everyone to build SRs
instead. SSRs are not weak, but they need ascensions (3*) to be viable on the long-
term gameplay. Hence, building SRs that are easier to ascend is more beneficial for all
players. The following units are those that we recommend everyone to build, and you
should too!
General team comp would be: Support + Healer + 2 DPS + [flexible DPS/tank]
Building priority: Support > Healer > DPS (striker/sabo) > Tank
The reason for this is because support (or buffers) can buff both healing and atk,
they’re the staple in every team. When you’re starting the game, survivability is
extremely essential.
Building SRs does not mean SSRs are useless, the issue is you need them to be 3* for
them to be viable. 3* SSR means their 3* passive is unlocked and so are 5 intimacy
rooms, which gives them a 60% stats buff. SRs are easier to ascend as you pull over
time, 5* SR is close to being as good as 3* SSR, if not more.
4. What’s the pity system? Are all reruns p2w? What banner should I pull?
A: We have a few different types of banner. Pity does not carry over, no 50/50 system
- you can lose to OGs multiple times, this isn’t mhy gacha. Therefore you should only
pull when you can hit pity, if not it’s all luck-based.
- Eiden banner: 120 pity, 240 spark box, has OGs in pool
- Normal 2p banner: 100 pity, 300 spark box, has OGs in pool
- 2p + limited SR banner: 100 pity for SSR, 180 for SR, 300 spark box, has OGs in
pool
- 3p banner: 150 pity, 300 spark box, only limited SSR in pool
- 1st rerun: 120 pity, only use pink gems to pull (240 gems needed in total), strictly
p2w
- 2nd rerun: 90 pity, has OGs in pool, run randomly
The banner you should be focusing on pulling/rerolling would be limited event banner
Ignore 1st reruns if you don’t plan on pulling, ignore standard banner cause there’s no
pity.
5. What’s the difference between Bliss and Erolabs?
A: Bliss is censored. Erolabs is uncensored. No, you cannot transfer data between the
two platforms.
6. What’s Mojo level? How do I level up?
A: Mojo level is a spending metric that unlock incentives. You can get to Mojo level 5
after completing chapter 8 of main story. Afterwards, it’s real money.
7. How can I redeem codes? Why does it say code cannot be redeemed on current
platform?
A: Top right screen > 三 > Settings > Other > Redeem code.
You’re probably on Bliss. Search Bliss’ social medias for codes.
8. How do I bind my account?
A: Top right screen > 三 > Settings > Other > Corner right > Bind
your account.
If it’s not there, then you must have bound it already.
9. How do I get a fancy key for room 5?
A: By owning 5 normal keys of the same element, you can craft a fancy key in
workshop. You can obtain keys through events, rerun events, shop (by purchasing
with 1600 spirit gems - avoid purchasing with memory crystals)
10. What are some good units to invest in?
A: Check here for updated tierlist. Just remember generally most SSRs require 3* to
be viable.
11. What’s crystal shards, raw crystal & crystal core? How do I use them?
- Crystal shards: unlock potential 3 & 6 for N, R units
- Raw crystal: unlock potential 6 & 12 for SR units
- Crystal core: unlock ascension 5 for SR & SSR units
12. How do I reroll?
A: Top right mainscreen > Log out > Pick guest account > Start game again.
Once you’re satisfied with your pulls, bind that account. I would recommend reroll if
you have pulled OGs cause you get a guaranteed SSR within first 20 pulls of the game
so it’s better to pull for limited SSR over OGs cause they value more.
13. What should I focus on as a newbie? Why are some stages in the event level-
locked?
A: Events > Main story >>> Sorcerer’s Trial > Lost relics.
Sorc & Relics are late game content that you can ignore until you have leveled up and
gotten used to the game. Level-locked stages are challenging stages that you can most
likely ignore cause they require somewhat decently built characters through
ascensions, intimacy and potential.
14. What is Eiden outfit and how can I use it?
A: In your main screen > Right corner > Clothing Icon > Invite Eiden to your
homescreen > Closet
15. What are some good packs to purchase?
- NU Adventurer’s Pack
- VIP & VVIP monthly pack
- 345 ecoin for 5 contracts pack
16. What are assault tickets? What to do with them?
A: Assault tickets can be used for auto-farming. It will be available to use once you
have 3 star the stage. You can use assault tickets by clicking on the assault button on
the side of the battle screen.
17. What are sorcery gems? What should I do with sorcery gems (pink/red gems)?
A: Sorcery gems or red/pink gems are paid currency in the game, it has the highest
value in pulling currency. 1 sorc gem = 1 pull hence the best way to use them is on
limited time banners. It’s also optional for players to use them on rerun banners,
though for F2P players, do remember that it takes 2+ years for you to save enough
sorc gems for a rerun guarantee if you wish to gamble with the amount you have,
that’s fine but just remember it’s completely luck-based. Personally, I do not think it’s
worthy. NEVER exchange red gems for mats in shops.
I.e: daily pull with sorc gem^
18. What should I buy from the shop?
A:
- discounted potential mats, basic boosts (and gold+ holy water) from trading
post.
- Discounted contracts (480 gems/contract) in monthly shop
- Gems + contracts from guild shop
- (optional) 3 eiden portraits for 180 gems in shop
