There is a little jam. There are a few eggs.


(Hay un poco de mermelada.) (Hay unos pocos huevos.)

There isn’t any jam. There aren’t any eggs.


(No hay mermelada.) (No hay huevos.)

Is there any jam? Are there any eggs?


Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t. Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.
(¿Hay mermelada? Sí. / No.) (¿Hay huevos? Sí. / No.)

There is too much cake. There are too many burgers.


(Hay demasiado pastel.) (Hay demasiadas hamburguesas.)

There is enough cake. There are enough burgers.


(Hay suficiente pastel.) (Hay suficientes hamburguesas.)

Now I can… talk about food, talk about quantities using lots of, some, a few / little, any, enough
and too much /many, and make sentences and questions using countable and uncountable nouns.
