Design Lab

Rules
1. No Food or Drinks Allowed inside the lab: To prevent spills and
protect computer and other equipment, food and drinks are strictly not
allowed inside the lab.
2. Silence or Quiet Zone: Design lab is a quiet space to minimize
disruptions and help users concentrate on their work. Use of
headphones is encouraged for any audio if it is required for the lesson.
3. No Unauthorized Software Installation: Users should not install
any software on lab computers without permission from lab
administrators.
4. Log In and Log Out Procedures: Users should log in with their
own credentials and log out when they are finished to maintain security
and accountability.
5. Respect for Equipment: Users are expected to treat computers,
peripherals, and other equipment with care.
6. Any issues or damage should be reported to lab staff. Keep the
keyboards and monitors back in the positions before you leave.
7. No Unauthorized Access to Networks: Users should not attempt
to access or tamper with networks, routers, or any other network-related
equipment without proper authorization.
8. No Tampering with Hardware: Users should not attempt to open
computer cases, remove components, or interfere with hardware
settings without permission. This is a very serious offense.
9. No Inappropriate Content: Users are prohibited from accessing,
downloading, or distributing inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.
10. Respect for Privacy: Users should respect the privacy of others
and avoid accessing or tampering with someone else's files or personal
information.
11. Backup Procedures: Users may be encouraged to regularly back
up their data, as lab administrators may not be responsible for data loss
due to hardware failures.
12. Reporting Issues: There should be a clear process for users to
report technical issues, security concerns, or violations of lab rules to
the teacher immediately.
13. Personal Belongings: Students should leave personal belongings,
bags, water bottles etc outside the lab in a line arranged neatly
near the space provided.
14. Tuck in the chairs- Student should put the chairs back in the
position before they leave the lab.
15. Emergency Procedures: Users should be aware of emergency
procedures, including evacuation plans and the location of emergency
exits.
