Introduction
1.1 About This Guide
This guide provides all the information necessary to install the Exaquantum software.
It describes the main installation options and provides the information necessary to
make the right choices.
Many of the major choices are fundamental to a successful integration with other
systems.
The information is aimed at IT professionals who have been on the appropriate
Yokogawa training course, such as 'Installing Exaquantum Systems' [NTPP 902].
WARNING: The software should only be installed by authorized staff that are qualified
to do so.
The level of information is aimed at suitably qualified installation and integration
engineers, who will be expected to have the following abilities:
Have access to the decisions made about the installation requirements and design.
Understand the technical environment and infrastructure at the installation site
Be familiar with the Windows operating systems being used, including the User
and Group account options.
Have access to the Administrator account on all the computers involved.
1.5 Support
In the case of any problems with the installation of the software, support is available
from the relevant Yokogawa representative.
Before Contacting Yokogawa Support
Please check the information in this guide and the Other Sources of Information section
to ensure that the basic installation and configuration issues have been addressed.
The support process will be much more efficient if you have some basic information
ready when you call:
The version and release numbers of the software.
The operating system being used, including the service pack level.
A concise description of the problem and its symptoms.
Full details of any error messages encountered.

For the standard model, default secure workbook folder has changed from under
"\Program Files" to "\Explorer Workbook".
When using a new workbook folder, Explorer workbooks should be moved to the
appropriate folder. Any Explorer scripts should be manually modified with the new folder
location.
When upgrading Exaquantum or running in standard or domain security models - if using
the Exaquantum PIMS folder, it is necessary to change the access right of Secure
Workbook folder manually.
How to change the access right:
Right click the workbook file and select property. Add group "QTM_DATA_READ" in
access right. Check full-control and click ok.
The “Web Site” field will contain a list of existing web sites, plus the option “Create New
Site”. The existing web sites will include the Default web site, plus any others that have
been created.
To create a new site, select it from the drop down menu and enter a suitable port number:
Port 80 (default web site) may be used if no other application is using it
Port numbers from 1 to 65535 may be used, only if not in use by another
application
Port 135 cannot be selected as it is used by DCOM
Pre-existing web sites will be listed in the pull down menu: to use one of these
sites, select it from the list. The port cannot be changed.
The “Destination” field determines the location where the associated web site files will be
installed. A default location is provided, which should be used unless there are overriding
reasons to install to somewhere else. The install destination folders will be created if they
do not exist.
If an existing web page port number is assigned, select “New Web Site” and enter the port
number from the existing web site as above.
If an existing port number is not assigned, select “Default Web Site”.

Installation Troubleshooting
6.1 Recovering From A Failed Installation
In the case of an installation that fails for any reason, it is important to ensure that
subsequent attempts are not corrupted by the existing files. In order to avoid corruption,
we recommend that the faulty installation be completely removed before attempting a new
installation.
Removing A Failed Installation
1 If possible, try to uninstall the Exaquantum software using the standard Windows
Programs and Features facility (Uninstalling Exaquantum).
Continuing Problem
If installation fails repeatedly, the reason for the failure should be established:
1 Check the release notes for any late information about the product.
2 Re-read the relevant sections of this guide.
3 Note the circumstances and symptoms of the failure.
4 Create an Installation Log File.
If, after thorough investigation the reason for the failure is not clear, then we recommend
you consult with your Yokogawa representative to try to discover the cause.
Installing MSMQ
It is best to install MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queue) as one of the available options
during the installation of the operating system.
Note: All procedures should be carried out using a Windows account that has
administrator privileges on the local machine.
To carry out this procedure you may need access to a Windows Server installation DVD.
To Add MSMQ To An Existing System (Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2 or 2016):
1 Run the Server Manager.
2 From the Manage menu, select Add Roles and Features. This will start the Add
Roles and Features Wizard.
3 If the Before you begin page is display, click Next.
4 In the Select installation type page, click Next.

Configuration
10.1 Overview
In most straightforward installations little configuration is required to confirm that the
basic system works.
Note: Configuration is necessary to transform the installation into a fully functioning
integrated system, but that does not form part of the installation process.
The following items may need to be configured:
Exaquantum/PIMS server
After the program has been installed you need to expand the size of the database
(See section 10.22).
If you are upgrading an existing Exaquantum system that uses domain based
accounts you will have to consider the implications of continuing that way or to
use local accounts instead (See section 10.5).
Exaquantum/Web client
The configuration of web browsers may need to be changed for ActiveX download,
logon access, and proxy servers (See section 10.11).
For user's convenience, you can arrange for the Exaquantum home page to
automatically open when the web browser is started (See section 10.11).
Exaquantum/Web server
For performance, a change to the web service configuration is necessary.
NOTE: In order to apply the settings described in this section, the user must have the
correct permissions (see section 2.9):
Standard mode - The user must be a member of the following groups:
EXA_MAINTENANCE
QTM_MAINTENANCE
QTM_DATA_READ
Administrators
Legacy mode- The user must be a member of the following groups:
QAdministratorGroup
QUserGroup
Administrators
The user’s temporary directory can be determined by using the following command in the
CMD window:
%TEMP%
10.3 Quantumuser Temp folder permissions (Legacy Model)
Conditions that require configuration
If Exaquantum was not installed whilst logged in as the QuantumUser account and the
QuantumUser account did not exist prior to installing Exaquantum.
Detail
Permissions for the group QUserGroup need to be added to the QuantumUser’s account
temp directory on an Exaquantum/PIMS server.
Login as the QuantumUser and navigate to the QuantumUser’s temp directory.
Note: use the %TEMP% variable from a CMD window to find this out.
Right click the Temp folder and select Properties then the Security tab, click Edit to
change the permissions.
Using dialog Permissions for Temp that will appear click Add. Enter QUserGroup and
click ok.

Please consult your Yokogawa representative.
Domain Accounts
The default installation of Exaquantum uses local groups to manage the user and group
accounts, however some existing installations may already be using domain based account
management that was supported in earlier versions.
The standard installation creates the Exaquantum accounts as local groups.
To use a Windows domain instead, a set of Exaquantum accounts will have to be
created on the domain server.
This procedure is not part of the installation process and is beyond the scope of
this guide. If you wish to create a new installation based on domain managed
accounts, then please consult your Yokogawa representative.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Exaquantum and wish to continue
using domain based groups, perform a standard installation. After the installation
process is complete, configure each server to use domain accounts.
Synchronization
It is important that the various servers within the system remain synchronized (Server
Time Synchronization). If all the machines are in the same domain, then this should
happen automatically.
These files will be automatically integrated into Excel, except for the following situations:
Excel is installed after the Exaquantum software
Excel is upgraded/re-installed after the Exaquantum software
Excel is installed using the “Click to Run” procedure
In these cases, the files must be copied manually to the appropriate location.
Default Location When Excel Add-in files are automatically integrated.
Each Excel installation creates a folder dedicated for the use of Add-in software. In a
default installation it is located under:
32bit Excel - <Program files (x86)>\Microsoft Office\OfficeXX\Library
64bit Excel - <Program files>\Microsoft Office\OfficeXX\Library
32bit Office 365 - <Program files (x86)>\Microsoft Office\root\OfficeXX\Library
64bit Office 365 - <Program files>\Microsoft Office\root\OfficeXX\Library
(Where XX will vary, depending on the version of Excel/Office 365 installed).
Note: The files will also be placed in the Exaquantum PIMS installation folder (see below).
Default Location When Excel Add-in files are NOT automatically integrated.
If Excel is not installed, the Exaquantum installation procedure will be unable to locate the
appropriate folder for the Add-in files, so the files will only be placed in the Exaquantum PIMS
installation folder. The default installation location will be <Program files
(x86)>\Yokogawa\Exaquantum PIMS
To enable the Add-ins to be integrated, the three files listed above should be copied to the
Library folder associated with Excel.
Note: do not try to link to them in the Exaquantum installation directory if the Standard
security model has been used.
Integrating The Add-Ins
Support for Add-ins is part of the Excel software. Please read the Excel Help system for
detailed guidance with installing and integrating Add-ins. Once integrated, the interaction
between Exaquantum and Excel is seamless.
10.20 Setup of Anti-Virus Software
Yokogawa strongly recommend that Virus Checker software be installed on all PCs.
Exaquantum has been tested with Virus Checkers from a number of different suppliers.
Virus checkers can have an adverse effect on performance of Exaquantum. For this reason,
it is recommended that the files listed in Table 10-2 are excluded from checking. In
addition, the folder where archive databases are created, and restored, should also be
excluded from the Virus Checker. Contact your Yokogawa representative for details.

The SQL statement in step 1 can be used to verify that the file locations have been altered
correctly.
Step 4 – Move the files to the new location
Use windows explorer to move the SQL files to their new location that matches the path
set in SQL server.
Note 1: Full security permissions must be granted to the Exaquantum service user and the
SQL service user for the new windows location of the data & log files.
Note 2: The data & log files of the system database tempdb cannot be moved while SQL
is running; new files are created every time SQL server is restarted. After SQL
server has been restarted, the old data & log files can be deleted.
Step 5 – Bring Database Online
For all of the databases that have been taken offline the following SQL statement can be
used to bring the database online.
Note: The system database tempdb cannot be taken off & on line; changes to the file
locations will take affect when SQL server is restarted.
USE master
ALTER DATABASE QHistorianData SET ONLINE
If the location of the system database tempdb data or log files have been altered, then SQL
server will need to be restarted for the change to take effect.
After all databases are online, check the windows event log for any errors before starting
Exaquantum and any other applications that use the SQL server.
If it is stopped then you will need to start the SQL Server ().
Figure 10-12
2 In the Exaquantum Database Expansion Tool dialog box, the Information frame
shows the current disk usage status.
3 Check the default value in the box Percentage of disk for Exaquantum database is
suitable. If not, type in a new value to suit your requirements.
Tip: After making any changes to the value of Percentage of disk for Exaquantum
database, you must cause the figures to be recalculated by clicking on the Refresh button.
4 To begin the expansion process, click on the Expand button. Alternatively, to close the
Exaquantum Database Expansion Tool without making any changes select Exit.
5 In most cases, a significant expansion in size will take place, which can take several
minutes or more. The exact time will depend on the size of the disk and performance of
the hardware. During this period there will be much disk activity, and the
Exaquantum Database Expansion Tool dialog box will remain open.
Note1: If there are any problems during the expansion process, an error message will
report the problem. You should note the details in case you want to report the
problem to Yokogawa Support.
Note2: QHistorianData database which saved Exaquantum historian data consist of two
physical files, QHistorianData1 and QHistorianData2. In order to carry out
Exaquantum Database Expansion Tool correctly, set QHistorianData1 and
QHistorianData2 to have the size same. The Exaquantum Database Expansion
Tool will set both sizes to the same size.
Note3: The percentage of disk for Exaquantum database must be between 1 and 90
6 When the database expansion is complete a success message will be displayed and the
Exaquantum Database Expansion Tool dialog box will close.
7 That completes the database expansion. Now you need to start the Exaquantum service
(See section 10.27)
Tip: Once the system is running, the size of the database can be controlled more precisely
by using the SQL Management Studio.
Figure 10-15
6 When the red square in the Stop button is visible, the service is started.
3 In the Exaquantum Services Manager dialog box, stop the services by clicking on the
Stop icon.
4 In the dialog box that appears, confirm your intention.
5 The Status of the server (above the Stop icon) should change to STOPPING and then
STOPPED. The Exaquantum services in the right hand panel should follow a similar
pattern.
Figure 10-20
a. Using File Explorer, create the folder where the new installation of Exaquantum
will be located.
b. Create a folder called Migration under the new Exaquantum installation folder.
c. Copy the SQL script ‘ReAttachDatabases.sql’ (generated at step 2) to the newly
created Migration folder.
9 Install the new Exaquantum software.
Note: If the database files need to be moved, this should be done as a separate operation
after Exaquantum has been installed, as documented in section 10.21.
Upgrading from Exaquantum R2.20 or Earlier
If upgrading from Exaquantum R2.20 or earlier, and have offline archives backed up with
SQL Server 2000, these archives cannot be restored directly in Exaquantum (using the
Admin Tools Archive UI).
SQL Server 2000 database backups are not compatible with SQL Server 2012. Convert
any pre R2.20 archives using the Re-archive tool (details in PIMS User Guide (IM
36J04A11-01E)), prior to restoring with Admin tools.
Upgrading from Exaquantum Excel AddIn files from R2.70 or Earlier
Please refer to Section 2.2, of the Exaquantum/Explorer User's Manual Volume 3,
Microsoft Excel Reports (IM 36J04A12-03E).
12.2 Adding Web Server
To add the Exaquantum/Web feature to an existing Exaquantum/PIMS Server installation
there are two options (Web Server Deployment Options):
Exaquantum/PIMS and Exaquantum/Web servers combined on a single computer
1 The existing Exaquantum/PIMS server installation should be uninstalled, see section
Uninstalling Exaquantum.
2 Backup Database to ensure the safety of the data.
3 Check for the prerequisite software. (See section 3.3).
4 Perform a reinstallation of the server software (Reinstalling the Server Software), but
choose to install a combined server (Web Server Deployment Options).
Exaquantum/Web installed on a different computer
1 Perform a standard installation (Installation Procedures Overview) for
Exaquantum/Web on the new computer, including any prerequisites
(Exaquantum/Web Server Prerequisites).
IT Security Setting
This chapter describes how to set IT Security.
To counter threats to security, the Yokogawa CENTUM system has introduced ‘IT
security’. Since the same ‘IT security’ was also requested for other YOKOGAWA
solution-based software packages (*1), Exaquantum is now compatible with the security
from version R2.60.
*1: Those are Exaopc, Exapilot, Exaplog, APC Product.
The IT Security Setting Tool is used for Security Setting.
For the following products, Exaquantum can only coexist with the Legacy model:
• CENTUM VP R5
• Other Solution-based Software packages – Exaopc R3.70 or later, Exapilot R3.90
or later, Exaplog R3.40 or later.
This is because the security settings in Standard modes are different between Exaquantum
and the other products.
If the current security model is changed, other YOKOGAWA solution-based software
packages compatible with IT security also need to have their security configuration
changed.
Important: When communicating between HIS and OPC, create the CTM_PROCESS
account by executing the following file on Exaquantum Server.
In case of CENTUM VP R4.02
<DVD>:\CENTUM\SECURITY\CreateCTMProcess.exe
In case of CENTUM VP R4.03 and later releases
<DVD>:\CENTUM\SECURITY\Yokogawa.IA.iPCS.Platform.Security.
CreateCentumProcess.exe
TIP: For information about YOKOGAWA solution-based software packages compatible
with IT security, contact Yokogawa.
Legacy Model
This model is provided with an equivalent security level to that of EXA packages
incompatible with IT security (corresponding to “security level: low” in Exaopc and
Exapilot).
The legacy model is applied in the following cases.
Exaquantum coexists with Yokogawa products (CENTUM, EXA packages, etc.)
incompatible with IT security.
Exaquantum coexists with Yokogawa products (CENTUM, EXA packages, etc.)
of the legacy model for security.
Exaquantum coexists with Yokogawa products that use different IT Security
settings (Exaopc R3.71 or later, Exapilot R3.90 or later, Exaplog R3.40 or later)
The effect on the existing client is not considered.
Compatibility will be kept with the previous revision.
With the legacy model applied, Windows Firewall is disabled. Settings can be applied
manually for legacy, refer to Exaquantum Engineering Guide Volume 2 – Network
Configuration (IM 36J04A15-02E).
For detailed information about the legacy model, refer to 13.2, “Security Configuration
Items”.
Note: When the legacy model of IT security is used, restrictions on Windows operating
systems can occur in some environments. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that the
standard model of IT security is selected.
Program access
Restricts the start of programs for each user group.
authority
Access control
File, folder access Restricts access to files and folders depending on the
authority user group.
x: Allowed to generate/set
–: Not allowed to generate/set
*1: In security configuration under domain management, local user groups named as
***_LCL are generated. Other user groups need to be generated on the domain
server in advance.
*2: A user group different from standard model is created.
*3: Access authority configuration is performed by Everyone with full control.
(Note: Depend on membership of QUserGroup, AdministratorGroup,
QDataWriteGroup and QExplorerDesignGroup)
*4: The Firewall setting is “disabled”.
Security Settings of Standard Model
This section describes the details of security settings of standard model.
Created User Groups and Execution Program Access Limitations
In case of the Standard Model, Windows groups are created beforehand and each
Windows group set file access restriction.
The following groups/users are created in the Standard Model of Exaquantum.
EXA common
User for EXA common process
process execution EXA_PROCESS
execution (*3)
user
*1: Indicates the groups locally created in client PCs under the Domain environment.
These groups are used in the case of anomaly in the Domain server or for the
purpose of OPC connection by the work group users.
*2: In the case of standalone management, add to the local Administrators user group.
In the case of domain management, add to the Domain Admins user group of
domain.
If the user account cannot be added to the Domain Admins user group of domain,
add to the local Administrators user group.
*3: There is no privilege to log on Windows.
*4: For detailed information, refer to “Appendix A.13.3 Change in SQL server
service account” in Exaquantum Engineering Guide Volume 2 – Network
Configuration (IM 36J04A15-02E).
Note: These groups created in the Standard Model will not be deleted even if the
security model is changed to the Legacy Model. Manually delete these groups as
required.
In order to perform each feature, logon user account is required to belong to the
appropriate group.
Access restriction of program execution describe as follows.
