Both pictures show people who are celebrating. In the first 6 consumer society 7 do without 8 experience

university and they’re celebrating together. I think the two Ex 3
people next to her are her parents. The man is holding a 1 B, F 2 C, E 3 A, D
gift for the young woman and they all look very happy. The
parents are probably very proud of their daughter. In the Ex 4

Yes, I’m from Lima in Peru.
2 (Are you able to stay calm in tough situations?)
Not really. I usually get quite nervous.

in the city centre.

them.

fingers too much.
Ex 3
Example answer:
Both pictures show people who are working. In the first
picture, I can see a farmer who is looking after some cows.
I think she is giving them some food. In the second picture,
I can see a teacher who is teaching maths to a group of
children. She’s probably helping them work out some
maths problems. Although they both look happy, they have
challenging jobs. The farmer probably has to get up very
early and work a lot of hours. She also has to work
outdoors even if the weather conditions aren’t very good.
The teacher works indoors so she doesn’t have that
problem. However, she has to motivate and encourage her
students, which can be difficult.
