JOB DESCRIPTION

(Corporate Finance Secondment)


Scope of work:

The objective of this secondment is to provide temporary support to the Corporate Finance
Department by deploying skilled accounting professionals to assist in various financial tasks. The
seconded personnel will work closely with the Corporate Finance team to ensure seamless
operations and achieve specific accounting objectives.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant
accounting standards (e.g. GAAP, IFRS).
- Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external
regulations.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for
improvement.

General Ledger Management:

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.


- Post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and other transactions.
- Ensure proper coding and classification of financial transactions.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Process accounts payable invoices, verify approvals, and ensure timely payments.
- Mange accounts receivable including billing, collections and reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payables and receivables.

Audit Support:

- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.


- Prepare audit schedules and provide requested documentation.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.


- Prepare ad hoc reports, Power BI usage, and presentations for management.
- Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:

- Review, suggest and improve the policy and procedure(s).


- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing requirements and deadlines.
- Assistance in preparing and filing of tax returns (e.g. VAT, Zakat)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations and best practices.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.


- Propose and implement improvements to internal controls and procedures.
- Train and mentor existing staff on accounting best practices.

Deliverables:

- Monthly financial statements, ad hoc reports and presentations for management.


- General ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Accounts payable and receivable processing documentation.
- Audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ad hoc financial analysis reports.
- Recommendations for process, policy and procedure improvements.

Communication:

Regular communication with the accounting team, management, and other stakeholders to
provide updates on progress, discuss issues, and seek clarification on tasks.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.


- Reduction in accounting errors and discrepancies.
- Effectiveness of process improvements implemented.
- Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
Technical evaluation criteria:

Criteria Weightage
+8 years experience in accounting 20
Must have worked on SAP ERP & SAC 30
Expert in building, reviewing, and modifying the Policy & Procedure 15
Financial analysis and accounting 15
Microsoft advance skills, Power BI, and dashboard skills 20

Note: Minimum success score is 80%.

Preferred Candidate profile:

Gender: Female
Qualification: ACCA or CA certification
Experience: Has worked at least 2 years at one of the Big 4, and has proficiency on accounting tools
mentioned above.
Passport holder: Must be a valid passport holder as the job requires travel and residence of at least
one year in the Middle East region.
