a) A 10” x 20” both end fixed concrete beam of 12ft span is subjected to a 10kip
concentrated dynamic force of 5Hz frequency at mid-span. What will be the
maximum deformation at mid-span? Given, E of concrete = 3000ksi.
Consider only first two terms of the series solution.
b) Write down the equations of motion of a body wave propagating in z-
direction and particles moving only in the x-y plane.
