o Eligibility requirements are limited to the results of the language test taken within the last two years as of the
application deadline for our graduate school.
o In case of submitting TOPIK level 3 score, please be noted that students are recommended to take TOPIK test
again and submit TOPIK level 4 or higher by the time of graduation.
o If candidates are from the country where English is spoken as first language (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland,
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa), the English Proficiency Test might not be required to hand in.
o In case of GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) students invited by the Korean Government, those who have
achieved 70% (84 points) or more of the minimum score of TOPIK level 3 can be admitted according to the
Academic Guidelines of NIIED (National Institute for International Education).
 3 Scholarship

3-1 International Exchange & Cooperation Scholarship 국제교류협력장학금(Tuition Fee Exemption)

o KIT provides tuition fee exemption scholarship for international students. Maximum 4 semesters of scholarships
can be provided to international students only if school budget allows for it.
o Type A Scholarship can be selected and paid after the deliberation by Graduate School Committee within the
scope of the scholarship budget during enrollment.

3-2 KIT-GKS Scholarship 국립금오공과대학교 초청 장학생 장학금 (Monthly Stipend)

o KIT provides monthly stipend scholarship for international students. Maximum 4 semesters of monthly stipend
scholarships can be provided to international students only if budget of National University Development Project
allows for it.
o KIT-GKS recipients will be selected through the separate scholarship admission conducted by International
Programs and Language Education Center.

6 Application Fee & Process

o Application Fee: Free
o Admission Process:
1) To fill up online application through KIT webpage (www.kumoh.ac.kr, Click here (2024 Fall)) and to submit
original application documents by post mail (Both ways have to be completed)
2) Paper screening/interview by each department/faculty
3) Successful applicants to be decided by Graduate school admission committee
 7 Accommodation
o International students can stay at on-campus dormitory.
o Room & board fee should be paid by student’s own expense.

8 Additional Information & Other Guidelines

8-1 Regarding Application Documents

o Every required document must be written in Korean or English (Notarized Korean or English translation
required in case of other languages)
o We accept original documents only. Photocopies of documents must be verified by the originals. In case of
submitting photocopied documents, applicants must have the copies notarized or apostilled and then submit
the notarized or apostilled copies.
o Photo must be taken within the past 3 months and show only the upper body without cap.
o In case of an applicant who has not yet graduated but will apply at KIT before finish their studies, applicant
should submit the certificate of graduation before the 1st day of semester.
o If the information in the submitted documents is found to be fake, or if the applicant is accepted by
falsification of documents or other illegal methods, the admission will be canceled, and even in the
event if enrollment has previously occurred.
o Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicants.
o Additional documents other than the submitted documents may be requested for accurate qualification
screening.
o Application document must arrive at the international office by post or in person before the deadline.

8-2 Other Guidelines

o Admission will be cancelled in case tuition is not paid during the designated period.
o Applicant must write down exact mailing address and telephone number.
- Communication cut off is applicant’s own responsibility.
- Applicant must directly leave new contact number in case of any change.
o Announcement of acceptance will be released on the KIT webpage (www.kumoh.ac.kr, http://eng.kumoh.ac.kr)
and applicant will not be informed individually.
o Any unexpected notices will be informed on KIT webpage and applicant will not be informed individually.
o Chinese students must submit the diploma issued from China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI)
(www.chsi.com.cn). Chinese students who graduated from Korean university does not have to do this.
o Items not mentioned above will be decided by the committee of KIT’s Graduate School.
