PRELIMINARY MATTERS
I. Calling the Meeting to Order

- The meeting of MSB was called to order by the presiding officer, Hon.
Reinbert C. Costelo, Municipal Mayor, Municipal School Board Chairman
II. Report on Attendance

- There being a quorum, the meeting started at 9:00 o’clock in the
morning

formally opened the meeting and started on the discussions of the
agenda stated on the communication.
IV. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting

- There was no unfinished business from the previous meeting
V. Proposals and Matters for Discussions

1. Proposed Supplemental SEF Budget No. 01, series of 2024;
2. Approval of Proposed MSB Resolution Approving of Supplemental
SEF Budget No. 01, series of 2024; and
3. Other Matters
The following notes/points taken:
A. As initial discussion, the Local School Board Chairman recalled the

PPAs implemented for SEF 2024 and its accomplishments; and the
proposed supplemental SEF Budget No. 01, series of 2024 ;
B. Engr. Marlon B. Arintoc, made mention on the different trainings to

be conducted by the different schools with their corresponding
budget amounting Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱50,000.00) each, to wit
1. Seminar on Children’s Right and Protection
2. Computer Addiction and Cyber Crime Seminar
3. Seminar on Teenage Pregnancy, and
4. Drug Symposium in School
C. Consultation / Discussion /Hearing with schools concerned and other

stakeholders; and
D. Consolidation of budget requests from all schools in the municipality

for the ensuing budget year.
After thorough discussion and exchange of views and merits of the different
Development Programs, Projects and Activities, the Municipal School Board
identified and approved the final list of different Development Programs,
Projects, and Activities (PPA’s) of the MSB to be funded by C.Y. 2024 Special
Education Fund. These PPA’s will form part of the Municipal School Board
Supplemental SEF Budget No. 01, series of 2024.
To this effect, Mr. Rolando P. Susaya, District Supervisor and LSB Co-
Chairman, presented a Municipal School Board (MSB) Resolution for the
approval and endorsement of the MSB Resolution No.02, series of 20234, to wit:

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SPECIAL EDUCATION FUND (SEF)

PROPOSED SUPPLEMENAL BUDGET NO. 01 IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR
HUNDRED NINETY-ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY-TWO PESOS
AND SIXTY-THREE CENTAVOS (₱491,242.63) FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2024
SUMMARIZED AS FOLLOWS:

Province of Leyte
WHEREAS there were PPAs of C.Y. 2022 and C.Y. 2023 Accounts Payable
amounting to Sixty-One Thousand Nine Hundred One Pesos and
Eighty-Two Centavos (₱61,901.82), hereby appropriated for the
accounts payable , to wit:
1. Internet Installation (October 2022) - ₱3,000.00

2. Procurement of Window Grills (Banawang)- ₱20,000.00
3. Internet Subscription Dec. 2022 -
₱1,500.00
4. Internet Subscription CY2023(District) -
₱18,000.00
5. Electricity/Electric Bill (May-Dec 2023) -
₱19,401.82
WHEREAS the Acting Municipal Treasurer is further authorized to disburse

funds subject to COA auditing and accounting rules and procedures.
RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that upon the motion of Mr. Rolando

P. Susaya, District
Supervisor and LSB Co-Chairman and seconded by all present
MSB members, the Municipal School Board, hereby approves THE
SPECIAL EDUCATION FUND (SEF) PROPOSED SUPPLEMENNTAL
BUDGET NO. 01 WITH AN ESTIMATED INCOME AND EXPENDITURES
OF FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
FORTY-TWO PESOS AND SIXTY-THREE CENTAVOS
(₱491,242.63) FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2024

With no more matters to be discuss and resolved, Ms. Marilyn A. Cubilla,

Municipal Budget Officer, moved that the meeting be adjourn.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing MSB Resolution No. 02 series of 2024
was duly approved by the Municipal School Board (MSB) meeting held on March 07,
2024.
With no more matters to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned at

11:00 a.m.
