Materials:
DK yarn (size3, light) or double stranded fingering yarn (size 1, super fine):
175yards (or 350yards of fingering) in Main Color A.
50 yards (or 100 yards of fingering) in both Colors B and C.
3mm and 4mm hook
Tapestry needle
Beads if desired
Guage: 20 dc x 11 dc rows = 4”x4”
Abbreviations (US):
sc : single crochet
dc : double crochet
tr : triple crochet
ch : chain
st : stitch
sl : slip stitch
sk : skip stitches
RS : Right side
WR : Wrong side
BLO : On the Back Loop Only - This means that you will only crochet on the back loop of
the stitch, and not on both.
FLO : On the Front Loop Only - This means that you will only crochet on the front loop of
the stitch, and not on both.
ch lp : chain loop: the hole below the chain
from the previous row.
rep *to* : repeat from the first asterisk (*)
to the second one (*) as many times as
indicated.
This pattern comes in 5 sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) for the top and 3 sizes (S, M, L) for the
bottoms.
BIKINI TOP:

Cups: Make 2
With a 3.00 mm Hook.
Ch. 13 (16, 17, 19, 21).
Row 1: Starting at the 3rd chain from your hook, dc along the chain, ch2, turn. (10, 14, 15,
17, 19 stitches)
Row 2: Starting at the base of the chain (the ch2 from before the turn is never counted as a
stitch), dc to the end of the row.
6dc in the ch2 gap after the last stitch.

Row 10: Starting at the base of the chain, make - dc (-, -, -, 35 dc) along your row, 3dc in
the next 2st (middle stitches), dc to the end of the row, ch2, turn. (38, 50, 56, 68, 76).
Row 11: Starting at the base of the chain, make - dc (-, -, -, 37 dc) along your row, 3dc in
the next 2st (middle stitches), dc to the end of the row, change colors to color B on
the last stitch (see ahead for chaging color instructions), ch1, turn. Don´t cut Color A.
(38, 50, 56, 68, 80).
Changing colors:
1. Make half of the dc with the first color.
2. Change your working yarn to the new color.

Row 12: Starting at the base of the chain, sc along the row until you reach the middle 2

Row 13: Attach your Color C yarn to the beginning stitch from row 12 on the BLO (Back
Loop Only).

middle 2 stitches,

Start your last dc in color C: yarn over, instert your hook through the back loop of the stitch,

Row 16: the chain 3 counts as a dc stitch. Dc along the bottom of the cup,

Row 19: ch3, make 3 more dc on the same stitch starting at the base of the chain.
Make 4 dc in each of the stitches until you reach the last stitch.

Make 3 dc in the last stitch, ch3 and slst on the last stitch. Fasten off and cut.
Repeat the process for the second cup.
Neck straps:
You´ll need to double your yarn. For this, measure about 2m and fold the yarn there.
You can use 2 different colors at the same time for extra thick and fun straps.
Using a 4mm hook, attach the folded end with a slst to the middle stitch at the top of one
of the cups.

Make a thick 50cm chain using both strands of yarn.
Repeat on the other cup.

Back Strap:
You´ll need to double your strand. For this, measure about 2.5m and fold the yarn there.
You can also use both ends of your yarn or 2 different colors together.
Make a thick chain about 120cm long. Cut your yarn.
Using a tapestry needle, weave the back strap throught the gaps between dc stitches on
row 16. Continue on to the second cup.

Front Side:

Row 6: Inc 1 = ch3 (ch3 counts like a st) and make a dc on the first st, dc until the end of
the row, make 2dc on the last st, turn. (7, 9, 11)

Attach your yarn to the corner indicated in the picture on the RS. HERE

Make 1 sc on the corner st, ch1, sc in the same corner stitch as you turn to the side edge

With 4mm hook.
Attach Color C to the front loop left from row 17 (19,21) on the front of the bottoms.
Ch3, make 2dc in the first st.

Side Hips straps:
You´ll need to double your strand. For this, measure about 80cm of the color of your
choice and fold the yarn there.

Attach the folded end with slst to the middle stitch in one of the corners of your bottoms.

Make a thick 40cm chain using both strands of yarn.
Repeat for all 4 corners.
Finishing touches:
● Weave in all ends.
● Block your work.
● Add lining if desired.
● Add beads at the ends of the straps if desired.
● You may weave elastic through the top edge of your bikini bottoms on the front and
back for extra grip and comfort.
