Click it.

Tick Set username and password. Make the username pi and set the password to
anything you like (something you can remember!)

Save these se ngs and you’re ready to click write.
The imager will take a while to write an image to your SD card and verify it.
When it is done, close the raspberry pi imager and take the SD card out of your computer.
Step 2
Download the DGT Mods Card Setup Tool for Windows from the following link:
h ps://drive.google.com/file/d/1AW4wa7S6wDVB2XkLqyTdZbZEWt63wmRD/view?usp=sha
ring
And install it. Once installed there will be a program called “DGT Centaur Mods Card Setup
Tool” on your start menu. You can click the windows icon and search for it. Run that:
This tool is expressly for installing the official DGT Centaur Mods project at
h ps://github.com/EdNekebno/DGTCentaurMods .
Step 3
The next step is to backup the original centaur so ware and se ngs for the board. To do this
you need the SD Card that was in the Raspberry Pi Zero in your board originally. Take this
and insert it into the computer. Wait a few seconds and the screen will change:
Confirm that the tool has found the right drive and then Click the “Copy” bu on to make a
backup of your original DGT Centaur card se ngs.
Now remove the SD-card and keep it somewhere safe (probably with the original Raspberry
Pi!)
Step 4
Take the new SD-card, the one you installed Raspbian on, and insert it into the PC. Once
again wait a few seconds and the screen will change:
This stage is going to copy the centaur backup to your new card and set it up ready to install
DGT Centaur Mods. To do that you first need a .deb file. Go to:
h ps://github.com/EdNekebno/DGTCentaurMods/releases in your browser and download
the .deb file for the release you want (we suggest you get the latest one!). Then back in the
tool click the “Choose” bu on and find navigate to where you saved it.
Check again that it’s chosen the correct drive and then click the Build bu on to begin the
process.
We recommend you eject your usb drive from windows properly, but nobody ever does so
do what everyone else does when it says it’s done and wait 10 seconds or so, close the
program, and retrieve your SD card.
Step 5
You’re basically there. Your card now has everything it needs. Put it into your Raspberry Pi
Zero 2W in your board (be careful, the screen is delicate, don’t crack it!). Now everything is
ready to go. Turn your DGT Centaur on.
Your DGT Centaur is now doing something we call firstboot. In the firstboot it does lots of
work to set up your configura on ready for use. It can take 10-20 minutes. So be pa ent and
get a cup of tea! Eventually you’ll hear a beep and the epaper will show the DGT Centaur
Mods start screen and you’re ready to go.
