Business Research Symposium
Date: 23rd October, 2024 | Time: 8.00 am to 11.30 am
Venue: 13th Floor, Seminar Hall-I, University Building
Hosted by:
SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India
Co-hosted by:
University of Southern Queensland,
Special Interest Group of AI for Business (SIGAIB),
Australia
Objectives
• Understanding the importance of device-to-device (D2D) communication
without relying on a base station to enable direct communication
between nearby devices, to improve network efficiency and reducing
latency.
• Emphasizing the significance of dynamic spectrum, which effectively
determines the best frequency band for creating D2D links within
networks, for boosting communication efficiency.
• Ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of wireless communication
networks through Interference management , performance evaluation,
and mobility management
Outcome
Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of device-to-device
(D2D) links in the context of network management.
Objectives
• Understanding the principles of large language models (LLMs).
• Exploring the processes of text data encoding, vectorization, and the
utilization of vector databases.
• Acquiring practical skills in training, validating, and querying LLMs
through hands-on experience and to Investigate methods to improve LLM
performance and effectively address common challenges.
• Learning the fundamentals of socket programming in Python and its
advantages over REST for chat-based applications.
• Analyzing architectural considerations and evaluate various strategies for
scaling a web application.
Outcome
Participants will gain insight into implementing a chat-based application that
utilizes a Python socket server to interact with a large language model (LLM).
Objectives
• Understanding the fundamental concepts of image captioning.
• Exploring the various models utilized in image captioning.
• Acquiring practical experience in building and training image captioning
models.
• Examine the challenges and recent advancements in the field of image
captioning.
Outcome
Participants will attain proficiency in converting visual content into
descriptive language using artificial intelligence (AI).
Objectives
• Introducing the foundational concepts for applying artificial intelligence
in real-world scenarios.
• Equip the participants with skills to identify and articulate problems that
can be addressed by AI.
• Present case studies in healthcare and automation to demonstrate the
impact of AI.
• Facilitate interactive group discussions that allow participants to identify
and frame potential AI application problems.
Outcome
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the challenges and strategies
involved in deploying AI solutions.
