Session : 7 form Wizard

Q1. What is a form?

Ans: A form is an interactive screen that contains numerous field or space to enter data. Each field hold a
field level and data box which show data corresponding that field coming from the linked table/query.

Q2. What are the use of forms?

Ans: Forms are the objects that are used to get data from user in interactive manner. Forms provide user
friendly interface to enter data and the enter data is stored in the tables of the database.

Q3. Write steps to modify a form.

Ans: 1. Open Base 2. Select Form from the left pane 3. Right on the form name in the bottom-right
pane and select Edit from the shortcut menu. 4. It will open the form in Design view

Q4. Write step to search for a record using a form.

Ans: 1. In the open form window, click on the find record button.

2. It will open Record Search dialog where you can specify the search criteria and click Search botton.

Q5. Write steps to insert a record using a form.

Ans: 1. To insert a record, in the open form window, click on the new record button in the button toolbar
and type the values in the new empty record that appears

2. Click on save record.

Q6. Write steps to delete a record using form.

Ans: 1. To delete a record, first load the record to be deleted either by searching as explained in the step 1-2
or using the navigation buttons at the bottom.

2. Once the record to be deleted is loaded, click on the delete record button on the bottom toolbar.

Q1. What are reports?

Ans: Reports offers a way to view format, and summarise the information in your database. Reports is a
printable view of your database.

Q2. How are reports useful?

Ans: A database report is the formatted result of the data coming from database object like tables or
queries. Reports are very useful tool for decision making and analysis.
