Job Purpose

Lead BA

Job Description

1. Experience as a seasoned Lead Business Analyst with the ability to articulate (written and verbal),
negotiate, and finalize product requirements with client business stakeholders.
2. Good Detailing & Analytics skills with natural interest in problem-solving, ability to lead and facilitate the
elicitation of business and system requirements, ensuring they are clearly documented, understood, and
aligned with business goals.
3. Hands-on expertise in creating deliverables such as business process flows, requirement
specifications/user stories, and product backlogs, demonstrating a willingness to actively contribute
rather than solely delegating tasks.
4. Experience in working with Agile teams in Product Owner role taking lead role in requirement grooming,
sprint planning and working with software product dev team.
5. Proven ability to plan, track, and monitor the work of a team of product analysts/BAs, providing
mentorship to develop product requirements.
6. Experience collaborating with UI/UX/Visual design teams to guide the user interface development
process.
7. Adequate technical knowledge to understand modern web/mobile application development and the
capability to visualize and comprehend data structures.
Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Analytical Skills – A natural aptitude for analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to evaluate
business issues faced by clients and recommend effective solutions.
2. Ability to go into details and extract functional details:
a. Understand business objectives by eliciting and studying user needs.
b. Proficiency in using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and observation
to gather detailed requirements.
c. Capability to articulate the product requirements (written and verbal) and present it – This
may involve preparing business flow diagrams, mind maps, other diagrams to convey ideas to
client, designing wireframes, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
3. Excellent communication skills – articulate (written and verbal), negotiate and finalize product business
requirements with client stakeholders.
4. Documentation Skill:
a. Should be an expert in documenting the requirements gathered from the client in a detailed
manner.
b. Knowledge in preparing business process flowcharts using tools.
c. Knowledge in preparing Functional and System Requirement Specification documentation inthe
form of user stories and acceptance criteria. Familiarity with tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps/AHA
etc.
d. Knowledge in creating wireframes using prototyping or wireframing tools.
5. Product Management Skills – Should have experience in managing product or project requirements.
Should be able to define the product objectives, maintain product backlog, product feature
prioritization.
6. Ability to visualize the User Interface of features, suggest the challenges in usability and provide
suggestions to UI/UX team.
7. Pre-sales Skills - Work with the marketing team to create project case studies, blogs etc.
8. Work with Software Development, Quality Control / Testing, UI design teams during product
development sprints
9. Testing Skills – Capability to the test the products during development stage and capability to manage
User Acceptance Testing and taken a system live.
10. Experience in developing user documentation, providing business support and in training users. Should
have good presentation skills.
11. Willingness to Travel to client sites for short – medium duration (1 week to 2 months).
12. To adhere to the Information Security Management policies and procedures.
