Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) enacted as State University by Government of

Haryana through an Act No. 25 of 2016 vide THE SHRI VISHWAKARMA SKILL UNIVERSITY

ACT ,2016. SVSU has adopted Industry Integrated Dual Education Model for its National Skill

Qualification Framework aligned Diploma, UG, PG & Ph.D. programmes in vocational

studies in line with German Dual Model vocation education pedagogy. University

conducts these courses with active participation of industries in various business domains.

This education model facilitates "Earn-While-Learn" and provides the students with the

opportunity to enhance their qualification with flexibility of entry and exit into a programme.

Industry partners, one of valuable stakeholders, are proactively participating from

end-to-end in programme conceptualization, curriculum design and development, students'

selection process and On-the-Job Training (OJT)/ internship/ training in the industry

premise for real time Learning of the students.

Chancellor
I take pride as the Founding Vice-Chancellor in introducing you to Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) –

India’s very first Skill University. While India has some of the very best academic institutions in the world, the

skilling has remained an unchartered territory for the last few decades. Our ancient civilisation had thrived on

the skills of our ancestors, which bestowed global recognition on India. The universities of the bygone era like

Takshila and Nalanda were the centres of vocational and skill education. The Government of Haryana, under-

standing the emphasis of the Government of India towards skill and entrepreneurship development launched

India’s first Skill University in 2016. The University is being set up at village Dudhola in district Palwal. The

University aims to address the complete value chain of skill education with multi-pronged approach of:

Feeder Schools at Secondary Education level,

Finishing Schools for Graduating and Post Graduating students,

Industry aligned work study program promoting ‘earn-while-learn’ model,

Incubation Centres for ‘Entrepreneurship and Skills of Tomorrow, and

Continuous Learning Programmes.

SVSU will focus on meeting the skill demands

of the State in the current and emerging areas

of various sectors such as manufacturing, automobile,

IT, healthcare, construction, banking & finance, hospitality,

agriculture, etc. Experiential learning will be enabled

through flexible entry & exit avenues, credit accumulation &

transferability and blended learning methodologies of

simulation & gamification. Focus on ‘Entrepreneurship

and Skills of Tomorrow’ will also form an important

prerogative of the University.

 About the Programme
The B. Tech. Computer Science & Engineering (AI & ML) is a

4-years undergraduate programme comprising of 8

semesters. This programme is designed to empower the

students professionally as well as technically exceptional

in developing advance machine learning systems by

deploying Artificial Intelligence algorithms. This programme

develops the skills of constructing the efficient applications

or solutions integrated with analytical information ensuring

precise output.

This programme imparts the comprehensive knowledge of

various programming languages required for development

of AI and ML applications and systems. Elective courses on

state of the art technology like Blockchain, IOT, and cloud

may also be offered to the students of this programme. This

programme includes several unique features such as

project-based leaning, choice-based credit system and

industry support for internship/On Job Training that will

prepare the learner holistically for professional

environment.

About the Department

Skill Department of CS/IT is one of the emerging department of the University equipped with well-qualified
and trained faculty in various emerging areas. The department adopted Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
and has an adequate latest infrastructure with state-of-the-art laboratories and other supporting facilities to
provide enhanced learning environment. The department attracts the best of engineering aspirants from all
over the country. The highlights of the department includes dedicated state of the art laboratories, digitally
equipped classrooms, industry academic tie-up and support in the relevant domain.
