SIM: You and I together, we make a whole.
BOTH: Together we are much more powerful.
Greetings
BOTH: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
SHANE: Today is the day of gathering together for it marks the preparation and
step that every student share in an important stage. Welcome to the Opening
Program of the Mini Intramurals of Grade 9- St. Lorenzo Ruiz for today.
Opening Remarks
SHANE:
Thank you for being here with us today, everyone. This program is an
opportunity for all of us to share our capabilities and talents, and explain how this
progress would lead us to the next phase of our academic lives. I know it was a
challenge for you to prepare, but trust me, this day will be worth it. The most
important part is that we could all learn from each other and always strive for the
best. This is a great opportunity to truly spend our time together as a class with a
wide variety of activities. And, all I can say, goodluck to all of us, and
congratulations already.
SIM: Thank you for that words of wisdom, Shane. I hope that our students could
be inspired today with these kind words of yours.
SIM: Now, let us move on to the Athlete’s Oath, to be presented by Kiel Padilla.
To all our athletes, I kindly request you to stand up and go in front to take this
oath.
Athlete’s Oath
Please raise your right hand and repeat after me…
We promise that we shall take part in this Mini Intramurals with loyal and friendly
competition respecting the regulations which govern it. We shall participate in it
with sportsperson spirit, for the honour of our school and for the glory of our
sports.
We, the athletes of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, hereby pledge our commitment to these
principles; to strive for excellence, to stay healthy in mind, in body and spirit, and
have fun.
So help me God.
SIM: Thank you Mr. Kiel and dear athletes. You may now go back to your seats.
SHANE: Heto na, Simeonette! Ready ka na ba? Ito na ang pinakahihintay nating
lahat, the Program Proper, which is the Muse and Escort Competition!
SIM: Oo! Ready ko nang makita kung paano ngumiti, rumampa, at gumalaw ang
mga dalaga’t binata na ito as they step onto the stage.
SHANE: The board of judges for today will be our very own Physical Education
teacher, along with these following team leaders and representatives: Rheonna
Dizon, Laurent Lucio, Gio Pascual, Franco Rivera, ___________ and Brian
Sulayao.
SIM: At this moment, you will all be witnessing how these people represent their
respective teams - according to poise, outfit, introductions, and sports.
SHANE: Indeed. Jamers, who do you think will win? (Calling of teams)
SIM: With that, kindly be ready for our muses and escorts as the stage will now be
theirs. Please be reminded to be respectful at all times, especially when it is now
their turn to speak. Do not shout or talk too much.
Contest Proper
TEAM 1: Bluedy Jamers TEAM 2: Black List
TEAM 3: Purple Hornets TEAM 4: Jade Jaguars
TEAM 5: Coquettes TEAM 6: Sunny Angels
SHANE: With that, thank you so much, candidates! Please remain on stage
because at this point, we shall be giving away the following awards for today’s
competition. Before that, may we call on Mr. Lopez, to come up on stage to
present these awards.
SHANE: There we have our Mini Mr. and Ms. Intramurals for the Grade 9- St.
Lorenzo Ruiz, aiming and soaring high. Congratulations, and we thank you, once
again, for all the organizers and the people behind this event for making all of
these things possible.
SIM: To our remaining candidates, keep aiming high and use this as your
motivation. This was a great show of yours as you endured and became tougher
over time. We are still very proud of you. With that, you may now proceed to your
seats again. And to formally close this program, may we call on Mr. Kiel Padilla
with his Closing Remarks. Please give him a round of applause.
Closing Remarks
“Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for
your teammates,” Magic Johnson once said. Good morning, once again! I would
like to acknowledge the fact that we have covered a lot of material even in this
short amount of time. Thus, we would not be able to make it without each and
everyone’s participation. Thank you for making this program possible! We have
already come a long way as a section – as a family, with sportsmanship and
respect. Let us all prepare again for the second day with these successful
dedication! Congratulations to everyone, and my heartfelt gratitude is all yours.
