Introduction
Overview:
Ultrasonic radar is a technology that uses high-frequency sound waves
(ultrasound) to detect and locate objects. It works by emitting sound waves
and then measuring the time it takes for the waves to bounce off objects and
return to the sensor.

Ultrasonic radar, also known as sonar, is a technology that utilizes high-

frequency sound waves to detect and measure the distance, direction, and
speed of objects. This technology has found widespread applications in
various fields, from industrial automation to medical imaging.
How Does Ultrasonic Radar Work?

Transmission: The ultrasonic radar emits a series of high-frequency

sound waves into the environment.

Reflection: These sound waves bounce off objects in their path, reflecting back
towards the radar.

Reception: The radar's receiver detects the reflected sound waves.

Calculation: The time it takes for the sound waves to travel to the
object and back is measured. This time is used to calculate the distance
to the object using the formula: Distance = (Speed of Sound * Time) / 2.
Components:

Arduino Nano: The microcontroller board

used to control the radar system.
ServoMotor: Provides rotational movement
for sweeping the radar.
Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04): Measures
distance by emitting and receiving ultrasonic
waves.
Jumper Wires: For connecting the
components.
Breadboard
Power Supply: an external battery pack.
Applications:
1. Industrial Automation
2. Automotive Industry
3. Medical Imaging:
4. Underwater Exploration:
