Python is a high-level, versatile, and easy-to-read programming language.

It is widely used
for various applications like web development, data science, artificial intelligence,
automation, and more. Python is known for its simplicity, readability, and extensive standard
library, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced developers.

C++ is a powerful, general-purpose programming language that supports both procedural and
object-oriented programming paradigms. It is widely used for system/software development,
game development, and high-performance applications. Created by Bjarne Stroustrup in
1983 as an extension of the C language, C++ introduces the concept of classes and objects,
enabling more organized, scalable, and reusable code.

NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of

Education, Government of India. It was established to manage and administer the Jawahar
Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), which are a network of fully residential, co-educational
schools aimed at providing quality education to talented students from rural areas.

Key Features of NVS and JNVs:

1. Objective:
o The primary goal of NVS is to provide high-quality education to meritorious
students, especially from rural areas, with a focus on their all-round development.
o It aims to promote national integration by bringing together students from different
parts of the country and providing them with a common educational platform.
2. Schools:
o JNVs are located in every district of India, except Tamil Nadu.
o The schools are fully residential and offer education from Class 6 to Class 12.
o The medium of instruction up to Class 8 is the regional language, after which it
switches to English for subjects like Science and Mathematics.
3. Selection Process:
o Admission to JNVs is through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test
(JNVST), conducted for students seeking admission in Class 6.
o The selection test is designed to assess mental ability, arithmetic skills, and
language skills.
o A specific number of seats are reserved for students from rural areas, ensuring
equitable access to quality education for underprivileged children.
4. Curriculum:
o JNVs follow the CBSE curriculum.
o Students are taught a wide range of subjects, including Science, Mathematics, Social
Science, and languages.
o Emphasis is placed on extracurricular activities, such as sports, arts, and cultural
activities, for the holistic development of students.
5. Features of JNVs:
o Free Education: Education, boarding, lodging, and other facilities are provided free
of cost to students.
o National Integration: Students from different parts of India are admitted, promoting
a spirit of national unity and integration.
o Migration Policy: A unique migration system is followed where students from one
JNV spend a year at another JNV in a different linguistic region. This helps in
promoting cultural exchange and linguistic diversity.
6. Infrastructure:
o JNVs are well-equipped with modern facilities like science and computer labs,
libraries, and sports facilities.
o The schools provide a conducive environment for both academics and
extracurricular growth.
7. Focus on Rural Talent:
o A majority of the seats are reserved for students from rural areas (at least 75%).
o Special emphasis is placed on identifying talented students from backward and
marginalized communities.
