Cast alloys
Wrought alloys: Wrought alloys are those that are mechanically worked into their final shapes
Properties: Excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, low
strength.
Properties: Lower melting point, good wear resistance, often used in welding wire and
brazing applications.
Main Alloying Elements: Zinc, with smaller amounts of magnesium and copper.
Main Alloying Elements: Includes elements such as lithium or others not covered by the 1xxx
to 7xxx series.
Cast alloys: Casting alloys are typically melted and poured into molds to create parts.
