Sol: 216/18=12 Sol:36 –105/21 x3 +19
=12 x12=144 = 36-(5x3)+19
= 144-140+3 =36-15+19
=144-137 =36+34
=7 =2

c)36 x 9 ÷3 -4 + 12 d)23 + 45 ÷5 -3 x 4
Sol:36 x (9/3)-4+12 Sol:23 +(45/5)-3x4
=36 x 3 – 4 + 12 =23+9-3 x4
=108 – 16 =23+9-12
=92 =32-12
=20
e)30 x 14÷7 +2 – 5
Sol:30x (14/7) +2-5
=30 x 2+2-5
=60+2-5
=62-5
=57

Scaling.

b) Increasing the size of an image while maintaining its shape is called magnification.

c)When two lines run at equal distance from each other, they are called parallel lines.

d) when the angle between two intersecting lines forms a right angle, they are called
Intersecting lines.

e) When the number is written as product of its prime factors, it is called prime factorization
of the number.

Sol: length of building=2mm

scale on map 1mm=1/8km

=2x1/8

=1/4km

Given 1km=1,000m

so,

=1000x1/4

=250mm
