Topic Title: Modals
Hello children! Today you will be engaging in another meaningful activities.
Say: “Today, you are going to learn about modals. What are modals?”
Modals are special verbs that are used to express ability, permission, obligation, predictions,
promises, and possibility. These are different from verbs that show actions like dance, sing, cook,
write, and walk. A modal gives additional information about the function of the main verb that follows
it. Unlike a regular verb, you cannot add -s, -d, -ed, -ing, or change the form of the modal. Modals may
be used in statements or questions.

Let’s look at the following modals and their uses:
