Title of Micro-Project

Environmental Impact of Plastic Use

• Aims/Benefits of the Micro-Project:- The aim of this microproject is to explore


the environmental impact of plastic use by examining how plastic pollution affects
land, water bodies, and wildlife. It will also investigate the challenges posed by
plastic waste management, its contribution to environmental degradation, and
potential strategies for reducing plastic use through sustainable alternatives.

• Course Outcomes :-
CO1: a) Develop public awareness about environment
CO2: d) Apply technique to reduce Environmental Pollution.

• Proposed Methodology :-
The proposed methodology for this project will begin with researching
available information on how plastic impacts the environment. This involves reading
familiar reports and articles to understand key issues like plastic pollution in oceans,
harm to animals, and effects on human health. By gathering these insights, we can
build a clear picture of the environmental challenges plastic use creates.

Next, data on plastic production, usage, and disposal will be collected from
reliable sources. We will focus on understanding how much plastic is used, where it
ends up (landfills, oceans, etc.), and the effectiveness of current waste management
practices like recycling. Afterward, the environmental impact of plastic will be
analyzed, paying attention to long-lasting plastic waste and the pollution caused by
microplastics. Finally, the project will propose simple solutions, such as using eco-
friendly alternatives, increasing recycling efforts, and raising public awareness about
reducing plastic use.
