SCRIPT FOR PTA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Reminders for Zoom participants!

During the meeting, zoom participants are asked to mute your microphone especially when you are not
talking. If you are opening your camera, make sure that you are in a well-lighted place, so you can be
seen and recognized.

For FB live participants, you can always show your support by reacting and commenting during
the meeting.
There are also exciting prizes to be won during our raffle draw. Make sure that you have been listed by
your child’s class adviser to have a chance to win the major prize, ONE SACK OF RICE!

1) The World Health Organization has declared COVID 19, a pandemic. This declaration has shaped
and deformed many societies. Our country, the Philippines, is one of those that is greatly affected
by this health emergency. In fact, its effect is across all folks and statuses. It even stopped the
hopes and dreams of many.

2) However, difficult as it maybe but the thrust of each one to combat and fathom this sickness is
always a top priority. Besides, the tide of challenge has opened a new door to explore the vastness
of the virtual world. With that, the new normal education comes in. It goes as well that Holy Cross
College of Calinan embraces the impact of this situation in offering quality education in the new
platform.

3) It is always a fact that the success of every academe is through the relentless support and
continued effort of its members, the students, the teachers, the employees, the parents, the
stakeholders and the community at large.

4) That is why, no pandemic shall hamper the consistent goal of the institution towards global
standards of excellence.

5) To our School President, Sr. Zosima Escolano, PM, PhD, to the active and beautiful PTA
President, Mrs. Adelfa A. Fermendoza, together with her fellow officers, to our beloved parents
who are our partners in carrying out the learning to be meaningful and fruitful in this new set up, to
our vibrant Basic Education Principal, Ma. Corazon Sunga, PhD, to our exuberant Dean of
College, Rizalito Paga, PhD, to our subject coordinators, program heads, fellow educators and
employees, to our students, and the rest of the HCCC community who are at their houses at this
very moment, good morning!

6) Welcome to the first ever, virtual Parents and Teachers Association General Assembly!

7) I am Mr. Jay D. Ontal, LPT, your master of ceremony, signing on!

8) To start with, we will ask the guidance of the greatest architect of heaven and earth to accompany
us in proffering better plans in drawing out the best to each one of us and for the betterment of our
initiatives and plans for the good of our children. Let us dispose ourselves properly as the Pastoral
Affairs Office leads the opening prayer.
9) After which, it will be followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem through an audio –
visual presentation.

 10) Home, as always, is the best place for learning and the best room for reaching out the needs of our
children. Thus, today marks the first time that we gather to get to know our school, how’s it going,
and how has HCCC stood in this time of crisis. So even in your homes, sit back, relax and enjoy
streaming with us via fb live.

11) At this juncture, a welcome message will be delivered by one of the pillars of the school and the big
man of the college department. Let us give a virtual round of applause to the Dean of College,
Doctor Rizalito Paga!

12) Thank you so much Doc Paga for that overwhelming welcome address.

13) I guess everyone is as ready as me for today’s assembly, so without further waiting, I will turn over
the floor to the gorgeous and energetic PTA President, Mrs. Adelfa A. Fermendoza to preside the
business meeting proper. A virtual round of applause, please!

14) Thank you so much Ma’am Adelfa and Sister Zosie for the bits of information, and for letting us
know how has the school striven in providing quality education amidst this situation and how has
the school kept abreast on the waves of the challenges of the present.

15) Prior to this general assembly, you met with your respective advisers and were being encouraged
to prepare or give questions for the open forum on this assembly. These questions are already
handed–in to the facilitator.

16) With that, I will be asking the adroit head honcho of the Research and Publication Office to
spearhead the open forum. Let us all welcome with a virtual round of applause, Doctor Melina
Gonzales.

17) Thank you so much Doc Mel for facilitating the forum, and to the PTA Officers and Administrative
Staffs for answering the questions.

18) Regardless of how good and productive a leader is, time is always a relative factor that allows in
finding new sets of leaders. It doesn’t mean to forget or to replace the old ones but to give
opportunity to others. To the outgoing PTA Officers headed by Mrs. Adelfa A. Fermendoza, kudos
to your LOVE and CARE to our dearest HCCC. She will forever be indebted to you.

19) At this interval, may I respectfully ask the School President, Sr. Zosima Escolano, PM, PhD, to
forefront the induction of the newly-elected PTA Officers for the school year 2020 – 2021.

20) May I humbly call as well the newly-elected officers and to kindly open your camera to be
recognized.

21) Congratulations, PTA Officers with Mrs. Adelfa A. Fermendoza as our president! Thank you,
ma’am, for the passion, service and for accepting the challenge once again. This time might be
very tough, but with your leadership, it is always assured that things will be put in order and plans
will be realized.
22) The meeting starts well with a blast by the PTA President and to be adjourned as well by her, May I
call again, the presider, Mrs. Adelfa A. Fermendoza for the adjournment of the meeting.

 23) We always believe that God is present within our midst that He allows this meeting to be as
productive and successful as it is. Again, we will be calling on the Pastoral Affairs Office for the
closing prayer.

24) Our participation doesn’t end there. This time, we will have the raffle draw. The winning names can
have exciting prizes, so keep in touch!

25) With that, I would like to thank everyone for gracing this first-ever virtual PTA General Assembly!
