ProBlue Adhesive Melter Pump Replacement Kit - P/N 1028303, 1058305, and 1058306 Issued 02/05

This instruction sheet describes the procedure for replacing the pump in a WARNING: Risk of personal injury or equipment damage! Refer to Required Tools:
ProBlue adhesive melter. This kit contains two new O-rings that should the safety information provided in the melter manual before servicing

Remove the Pump

Note: Illustrations of the P4 melter are used throughout this instruction sheet.
Unless noted otherwise, procedures are the same for all ProBlue melters.

1. Switch the melter off. 2. Relieve system hydraulic pressure. Refer to the
melter product manual for information on relieving
hydraulic pressure.

3. Remove the pump as follows:

holes located on the front of the pump body.

CAUTION: When reinstalling the pump, ensure that the


RTD is fully seated in its slot and that the RTD wires are
not caught between the pump and the manifold.

3. Reinstall the pump by reversing the sequence illustrated


in Removing the Pump, step 3.

See the figure to the right when reconnecting air lines to a


single-acting pump. Pneumatic connections are labeled on the
back of the pneumatic assembly.
