3.0 IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM
Samyang Slurpp has consistently struggled with tracking data and information due to their
reliance on a current system for agent and supplier data. This outdated method makes it
challenging to locate specific data quickly when required, leading to inefficiencies and delays.
The use of manual systems also affects the generation of reports for the managerial authorities
since it becomes difficult to compile the data and analyze them in a real sense. This means that
there is no fully automated system to facilitate the quick decision-making process, and human
Moreover, the current data takes a lot of time and effort, which greatly slows down
workflow. Overall productivity is lowered when workers spend too much time on repetitive duties
like data entering, record updating, and information searching. This wasteful use of resources
might result in higher operating expenses and slower work completion. By providing rapid
access to reliable information, allowing direct reporting to management, and enhancing overall
efficiency, switching to an automated data management system would resolve these problems.
Next, Samyang Slurpp is encountering significant issues related to data duplication within
their current manual system. Due to the lack of a centralized and automated data management
solution, redundant entries are common, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between
the latest and outdated information. This makes the retrieving process tiresome as the
employees are required to search through several similar data entries to reach the appropriate
one. There is no effective solution for handling collected and accumulated data, which
intensifies the issue and results in time-consuming procedures and mistakes that may impact
The need for manual updates adds another layer of complexity and time consumption.
Employees have to meticulously update each record manually if something changes, which may
6
be a complicated and susceptible to human error procedure. This methodical and lengthy
approach to data management makes it more difficult for the business to quickly obtain current
information. To resolve these problems, upgrading the current database management system
with an improved one like Microsoft Access could enhance the existing system. It would assist in
having more controlled and unified data storage, eliminating data duplication and therefore
faster and effective data update to improve efficiency in the operation as well as effectiveness in
data integrity.
7
4.0 RECOMMENDATIONS TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEM
As it will be observed from the analysis, Samyang’s Slurp has a lot of issues in its data
management systems most of which stem from the fact that it uses a manual form of data
worst productivity level, numerous mistakes, and a significant amount of time spent. We have
discussed these restrictions in much detail in order to specify how they hamper the efficiency
and effectiveness of the organization in terms of data-acquisition, data processing and reporting
to support quick and real-time decision-making. To address these issues successfully, the
following strategic recommendations are suggested to upgrade the current system and make
substantial transformations to become a more applicable and reliable, automated system for
like Microsoft access. This transition has many benefits, such as consolidating a crucial
in multiple disparate Excel files. Using Microsoft Access for the storage of data helps to avoid
having scattered files and make it easier to organize, locate, and get to the needed data. Also,
the computation of the next generated ID for a record in the Access Table and the automation of
entry and validation processes resulted in a decreased error margin and enhanced accuracy.
This will include this enhancement so that the information obtained is accurate and of current
nature which will impact on well informed decisions being made. In addition, Access also helps
to generate real-time data report analysis for senior management in the organization and get
accurate information at the right time. This capability enables a smooth flow of information to the
Furthermore, Microsoft Access allows data to be input in real-time and data output,
which is very important when making decisions. Compared to the traditional file system, the data
8
can easily be keyed in the Access database and does not take a long time to update, search,
sort, analyze or retrieve and it is equally easy to run queries and reports from the data once
keyed in. This capability is critical to enable a direct way through which senior management can
have access to up-to-date information as they make decisions. With the built-in querying and
reporting tools included in Microsoft Access, managers will be able to develop simple reports
that will give them significant insights that will guide effective and timely responses to the
business needs.
Also, Microsoft Access has another important feature that is the possibility for
automating routine work which can help to increase the working pace. For example, in such
processes as data entry, records update or the creation of reports, work can be more
streamlined and require less manual input. This automation not only saves time but also
eliminates human errors of introducing wrong data into the system, and this data is real-time
data. Programs like forms and macros in access can be modified to simplify input data and
reduce time and efforts that the employees spend on repetitive tasks, keeping in mind that their
In addition, its compatibility of Microsoft Access with other Microsoft Office products,
which includes excel and outlook add to the overall functionality of the program. Microsoft
Access linked databases also integrate well with Excel and Outlook which makes it easy to
transfer the data for other analysis or create automatic reminders for follow-up or deadlines.
This integration guarantees that all data interfaces smoothly within the different apps, which

5.0 CONCLUSION
In conclusion it can be said that the shift towards the use of Microsoft Access serves as
a key point to bound the current obstacles that Slurp of Samyang is facing. With this efficient
database management system, the organization stands to make major gains in the accuracy of
the data, reduce complexity in processes of the organization and thus enhance the
using Microsoft Access eliminates the risks inherent in paper based record keeping systems
These are some of the reasons why the automation of data entry validation, and
reporting for this data into Access will reduce human errors, improve the quality of the data that
is entered into the database and increase productivity of doing so. This, coupled with such a
feature that allows the system to process data in real time, allows senior management to arrive
at informed decisions, made possible by the availability of accurate information in real time. The
integration with other Microsoft Office applications also improves this aspect by complementing
its main functions and allowing the efficient flow of data across the company.
Through these developments, the food and beverage industry in particular and
Samyang’s Slurppp in particular will not only make its operations efficient but it will also enhance
its competitiveness to grow bigger and be known internationally. This decision to transform the
company’s data management system to the digital one that is more efficient and dynamic is a
