MERRY CHEEKMAS TREE ORNAMENT


Start with a MR and SC 6 into ring MATERIALS NEEDED
TERMS USED
SC - SINGLE CROCHET
YARN (ANY COLOR)
MR- MAGIC RING
R1: INC around [12 st] SCISSORS
INC- INCREASE
R2: (1 SC, 1 INC) x6 [18 st] POLYFIL OR SCRAP YARN
DEC- DECREASE
R3: (2 SC, 1 INC) x6 [24 st] FLO- FRONT LOOP ONLY
R4: (3 SC, 1 INC) x6 [30 st] BLO- BACK LOOP ONLY
R5: (SC 1, INC 1) x3, 18 sc, (INC 1, SC 1) x3 [36 st]
R6: (SC 2, INC1) x 3, 18 SC, (INC 2, SC 2) x3 [42 st]
R7: (SC 2, INC 1) x3, (3 SC, 1 INC) x6 (INC 1, SC 2) x3 [54 st]
R8-13: SC around [54 st] *6 rows*

*take an extra piece of yarn, make a slip knot in one end and from R8 up to R12, slip stitch up
the INSIDE of the crack to secure the butt cheeks together!*

Fasten off with a decently long tail as you’ll use it to shape the cheeks. I like to do at least 12
inches or more! Once you fasten it close bring the tail down to the bottom of where your crack
starts, pull through and insert at the top of the crack, loop it through and pull tight, do that a
few more times to help form the cheeks more. I like to go up one row at the top each time I loop
it through to help it look better! Tie a knot and push it through. Congrats! Your ornament is now
