Welcome to Sustainovate! Please read the following rules carefully to ensure a smooth and fair
competition. All participants are required to follow these guidelines:
1. Dress Code
● Participants must be dressed in formal attire.
● Failure to comply with the dress code will result in a penalty.
3. Presentation Requirements
● You are to create a 5-6 slide presentation addressing the problem assigned to your team.
● Each team will have 7-8 minutes to present their solution to the judges.
● Teams are expected to manage their time effectively. Exceeding the time limit may result
in a deduction of points.
4. Originality of Solutions
● The solution presented by your team must be original and reflect creativity in addressing
the sustainability issue.
● Plagiarism in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
5. Use of AI Tools
● The use of AI in developing your solutions is not encouraged. The judges are looking for
human creativity and practical thinking. Rely on your ingenuity and teamwork to solve
the problem.
6. Submission Deadline
● Presentations must be completed and shared with the organisers before the time limit is
up on the day of the competition. Late submissions will not be accepted.
7. Code of Conduct
● Respect for fellow participants, organizers, and judges is essential. Disruptive behavior or
violation of the decorum will result in disqualification.
8. Judging Criteria
● The judges will evaluate the solutions based on the following:
I. Profitability: The potential for the business idea to generate profit.
II. ESG Metrics: The idea's alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance
standards, particularly its ability to address sustainability issues. Additional points
will be awarded for any extra sustainability measures incorporated.
III. Creativity and Uniqueness: The originality and innovative aspects of the business
idea.
IV. Marketing and Presentation: The effectiveness and professionalism of the team's
presentation to the panel.
10. Attendance
● All participants must arrive at the venue on time. Failure to arrive promptly at 12:30 PM
may result in penalties or disqualification.
