This resource is a SAMPLE of my October Morning Work for Kindergarten
and First Grade. This sample includes 6 printable pages.
This is what the complete October Morning Work includes:
The complete resource has 82 pages and covers a period of 5 weeks.

The worksheets are labeled with the week and day (numerical) on the
top for easy reference. Each worksheet contains three sections.
The first section includes CVC words, one word family per week, except
for weeks 4 and 5 where the students will have 2 per week. The word
families included are: -at, -an, -ap, -en, -et, -ed, -eg. This section is cut and
paste.
The second section is for students to practice sight words in different
ways: Tracing the sight word, coloring it, and writing it {boxes are
provided for each letter of the sight word. The sight words provided are
Fry’s second 25 sight words (within the first 100 words).
The last section is math related and includes the following skills:
comparing numbers to 10 using the words greater than or less than,
number words, counting forward, counting backward, and addition to 5
with pictures.
In addition to the worksheets, I have included a separate section for
writing templates that are also labeled with the week and day. On the
writing templates, the students have to write a story based on the
seasonal picture provided.
You may use this resource as whole group, small groups, homework,
centers, independent work, formative assessments, and much more!
