Here is a sought-after, comprehensive collection of Black Box 검넴 art for the novel Omniscient Reader’s
Viewpoint (ORV). Spoilers, obviously, for the novel. If you don’t know who BlackBox is, they are the main
official artist for ORV.

I know there are collections that exist out there - but to my knowledge, most do not have all (where this
one does!) or at least higher quality, full versions of everything - and I’ve seen some that mistake other
art for ORV (when they are not). So, here is a drive of all the images I could find sorted out into general
folders, where you can see which ones are;

1. Official (for either the novel art or promotional art), This folder was recently updated for better
quality.
a. This folder has all of the official novel art by Blackbox in order of when it appears in
the novel. I have also gone and found the highest quality version of all the official novel
artworks. For some, it is still medium quality, but for others, it is better quality, especially
compared to what I had before.
b. There are some ‘duplicates’; Those with “upscaled” in the name are AI upscaled versions
(not necessarily by me, just ones I can tell have been AI upscaled), hence I kept the lower
quality version for reference.
c. Also includes existing and unreleased promotional posters/art, and merch. Unreleased
(officially) generally has a lower-quality image.
2. Existing on their Twitter (mostly their account @1L9l2Aa8UCL0IGJ)
3. Deleted (does not exist on Twitter/official sources anymore, but I have found them on various
image-sharing sites and from image tracing. Some are low quality or feel like crops/edits of actual
art, but unless someone finds the original, I’ll keep the trace in the folder).
a. Includes images of pages from the JD fanbook they did. Context:
i. BB-nim has done a Joongdok fanbook in the past, and until now, I’d never seen
any glimpse of it. BB has posted some of the images from it, but a lot of them will
only be present as pages from the fan book; since being shown (low quality)
images of the pages, I have included the ones that are ‘new’. Despite the
low-quality image, I suspect many people would be interested in seeing this.
4. There is also another folder for images I have seen, but I am unsure about - either;
a. The art is by Black Box, but I am unsure if the art is ORV, or;
b. Unsure if the art is by Black Box. (it is mostly the former currently)

Besides the official novel artworks, the images are in no particular order.

This started out as me collating all the Black Box arts in my folder - and somehow spiralled into me trying
to find better quality versions of the art, and then subsequently stumbling across Black Box art - across a
multitude of sites - that I've quite literally never seen before (and I am quite the avid fan art collector). As
the amount of Black Box art in my collection grew, I decided to create this drive as I know many people
have wanted a comprehensive list of all of Black Box’s art.

The time and effort put into collecting all this was crazy; you will never guess how long it took me to find
the art, then trace sources and find better quality versions for the majority of them . So, for most of
these, it is the best quality version you will see of that art - or at least close enough (especially for the
deleted ones). (This is variable however for official art, as a lot is paywalled and therefore versions I have
may be low-mid quality)

For Official Art, I have linked a drive that is a shared drive for all official novel art → it is organised and
also is a lot more comprehensive outside of black box’s art (it is for all language releases). It is helpful
and includes covers and other stuff I didn’t explicitly include. (however, it only has officially released
images)

I have also made a folder called Webnovel EPUB → You can find a copy of the fan-translated
webnovel of ORV in epub format, this is the edited (name-change corrected) text-only version that
everyone uses and I highly recommend this version over anything else. Since the website that hosts it
got removed, I have put it here for those who want it.
Inside I’ve also linked a drive with an edited EPUB with artwork by Blackbox in it; includes all of the
official novel artworks as shown in my “Official” folder, and also non-official artworks. However, it must be
noted that since they put in both official and non-official artworks, you should know the distinction
between the two, to not get the wrong idea (in their drive, they have detonated all images they used with
the related novel line and if they were canon or not in a separate folder). You can check out this drive to
see the official artworks linked to a specific line in the novel.

DISCLAIMER:
All art credits go to Black Box 검넴. Do not use this for personal profit etc. This is only just to have a drive
for the fans. Keep in mind that Black Box is a fan artist, as well as an official artist - so not all art
they have created in the past can be taken as official! This is in particular for their deleted art. All art
outside the ‘Official’ folder is fanart!

Original source for most of their existing art is on Twitter. The artist wishes that their art doesn't get
reuploaded elsewhere. Edit: as of their recent statement, please don’t repost their deleted art or be
harassing bb-nim! They also have alternate Twitter accounts where they post art that is not necessarily

Also, I say this is a comprehensive list, but there could be ones I have missed (very unlikely at this point).

- side note, Blackbox is said to have made a joongdok fanbook with some of their fan artworks a
long time ago, however this is very hard to find anything online and likely these fabled jdj arts will
never surface again on the internet. So this is to be left to your interpretation unless anyone has
any info on it and would kindly send it to me.
 - Edit: Thanks to the person who sent me images of the fan book! Truly something glorious
to see as there’s some magnificent art that has never been posted before. It's sad that I’ll
never get some of these in HD.

Extra Info:

Black Box 검넴 made some of the covers for the original release of ORV, and then subsequent releases.
Their novel covers can be found in the Official Art folder. They also drew official novel illustrations with
the Korean ebook/physical release. They are a popular artist in the ORV fandom, and have done a lot of
ORV art in the past before they became the ‘official artist’. Their deleted artworks can be said to also be
related to this, but nevertheless, we will never know.

(disclaimer: the second fan translator of the novel actually has a more ‘correct’ romanisation of
the Korean names, but for continuity's sake, everyone found the original easier. Changes included easier
ones like Yoo Joonghyuk → Yu Jung-Hyeok but also more confusing changes like Lee Sookyung → Yi
Su-Gyeong which made it hard to understand who they were talking about. That’s why this epub
changed the names back to the first translator’s ways. You can read more about it here.)

There's also another official artist Alter that often gets mixed with Black Box. They made some of the

If you’re reading this, here’s a fun fan project that a bunch of popular Korean ORV artists did a while ago
where they collaborated and drew popular movie posters but with ORV characters, and made a whole
website out of them. There’s music and you can click through the posters, it’s very cool in my opinion,
just wanted to share. (It’s best to have a translator like google translate on the site though as it’s in
Korean if you want to read it).
