Title: Study and design of active first-order and second-order low pass and high
pass, bandpass, and bandstop filter using OPAMP.
Objective:
1. Design a first-order low pass filter (LPF) using IC 741 op-amp.
• Take input voltage as Vp = 2.5v, frequency=1k Hz.
• Take R=1k  , and C= 0.1µF as resistance values.
• Take VEE= -15V and VCC = +15 V.
• Measure fc , gain at cut-off frequency.
• Plot the frequency response curve of the first-order LPF.
• Check theoretical and simulated values of the cut-off frequency.

2. Design a 2nd order low pass filter using IC 741 op-amp.

• Take input voltage as Vp=0.5V, frequency=1k Hz.
• Take R1= 1kΩ R2=4kΩ R3= 200Ω R4=200  , and C1= 0.25µF
C2= 1µ F.
• Take VEE= -15V and VCC = +15 V.
• Measure fc , gain at cut-off frequency.
• Plot the frequency response curve of the 2nd-order LPF.
• Check theoretical and simulated values of the cut-off frequency.
3. Design a 2nd order high pass filter (HPF) using IC 741 op-amp.
• Take input voltage as Vp=0.5V, frequency=1k Hz.
• Take R1= 1KΩ R2=250  , RA =4k  , RB= 1k  , and C1=0.15µF
• C2= 0.15µ F.
• Take VEE= -15V and VCC = +15 V.
• Measure fc , gain at cut-off frequency.
• Plot the frequency response curve of the 2nd-order HPF.
• Check theoretical and simulated values of the cut-off frequency.

4. Design a band pass filter (BPF) using IC 741 op-amp.

• Take input voltage as Vpk=1V, frequency=4k Hz.
• Take R1=120Ω, R2=R3=8k  ,R4=100  and C1=10µF,C2= 10nF.
• Take VEE= -15Vand VCC = +15V.
• Measure Q, fL, fH, BW, Centre frequency (fc)
• Plot the frequency response curve of the 2nd-order BPF.
• Check theoretical and simulated values of the center frequency.
5. Design a band stop filter (BSF) using IC 741 op-amp.
• Take input voltage as Vpp=2V, frequency=4k Hz.
• Take R1=15kΩ, 𝑅4 =8k  , R2=1k  , R5=R3=8k  , and C1=C2= 0.1µ
