Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY.

May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Expectations
If you don’t care about backstory please skip to Step 1 where I’ll get into it, you will
miss some good info I’d suggest reading the whole guide.

This is a report on the past 2 months of growing Instagram pages with absolutely 0 paid
traffic and how you can replicate it.

To clarify this guide is to create a community page that you can later monetize. This is a

B
super easy concept that will take you at most 20 mins per day per account.

This is not a guide on how to get 20 million followers in 30 days. This is something

U
where I would expect 10-100k in 4-6 months based off of analytics from my current
accounts.

CL
But even an account with 50k followers can be sold for a few thousand dollars so your
hard work and dedication will pay off even if you don’t decide to make it into a store.

If you come to a point where you have a good following and don’t know your next steps,
I would recommend starting a shopify store and running paid traffic alongside daily
posts.
Y
Maybe you’re scared to risk your own money, then I would recommend affiliate
marketing where someone like me would pay you a 20% commission on all sales that
PP

you drive to my site.

Step 1 - Choosing a Niche

Ok step 1 pick an area of interest. I would highly suggest something that you are interested in or
RI

one of your hobbies. To give you ideas based on my own interests: Cars, Skiing, Dogs, Luxury
Houses, Watches, Clothing, Music, Photography, Travel, Money, Gym, Tech, Plants.

I’ve tried all of these, some have worked better than others, some have shit the bed so I tried
something else. Not every niche has an audience, some audiences are just harder to engage.
That’s okay, If something doesn’t blow up 1,000+ views at least one time after about a week.
You’re doing something wrong so adjust your strategy.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Two of my pages first 9 days because results will vary based on niche:

B
U
CL
So maybe your niche is just more viral. For example, posting dogs, you will see 10k+ views on
almost every post, but maybe only 0.1% will follow the account. With plants, you will maybe
average 1.2k views but you’ll get a 10% follow rate. I would expect similar results to that in a
niche like spiritual healing, meditation, etc. I think the criteria is a primarily 40+ year old female
audience. This is an ideal audience because they are the best consumers. They have money
and love to spend it.
Y
If you aren’t seeing results, maybe you’re posting shit content. Maybe you tried to change the
niche on an account and now instagram is confused as shit with what you’re posting. This
happened with the above picture on the right. It was originally a mens fashion page, I changed it
PP

to phone cases / tech. Instagram has no clue what's going on. I would’ve been much better off
making a new page. Don’t be lazy, learn from my mistakes.

The algo is relatively unpredictable, you can make it favor you more but you can also post the
exact same thing twice at the same time on the same day 2 weeks in a row, one will get 100k
RI

views, one will get 5. This is why posting 2-3 times per day is key. Volume is King.

Step 2 - Setting up your account

You’re gonna want to choose a name and make a bio so that you are searchable. How are
people gonna find you if they can’t search your account?
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Username
You’re gonna make a username for the account, I usually take my initials and make it into
words. So for an example car page, maybe I’d make it “MassiveSpeed” or if that’s taken
“massive.speed” I wouldn’t actually recommend this in most cases.

I would do something more along the lines of “fast.cars, racecarclub, mustangclub,

lamborghini.mercy, etc” This is because people will be searching for “cars, lamborghini,
mustang, etc” they don’t search for “massive speed”

B
Profile Name
The actual name on the account is more important than the username which is why I still find

U
success with less searchable usernames. My goal is more to build a brand than an instagram
account so that is why I am fine with a less searchable username.

CL
The name however should be something like “username | the fastest cars on instagram'' I
always do “username | searchable / actionable event” it seems to work well.

Another few examples would be:

“username | pet lovers”

“username | upgrade your style”
Y
“username | out of pocket memes”
PP

Bio
Now time for a bio. The bio is something you should research among competitor pages. I
usually do a 1-2 line bio. I’ll use a car page example again for continuity.

🏎️ Tuned cars daily

RI

🔥 The fastest cars on instagram

🔧 Speed that’s built not bought
Keep that shit to 3 lines max or it’ll get cut off. If you already have a store, don’t tell people to
shop the link in your bio when you’re starting, they would just fuckin click it if they gave a shit.
You can put these CTAs in your post descriptions and it’s more effective.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Profile Pic
To start, make some shit on canva (it’s a free graphic design software) or literally snag a photo
from google. The owner of the pic will likely never see your account so steal it if you don’t have
a graphic design eye. Profile pic doesn't really matter that much but it should be at least related
to your niche. Maybe for a car page you could put Tate’s Bugatti or a nice clean engine bay pic
from some 600 hp civic. I don’t look at profile pics so I don’t really give a shit.

Step 3 - Priming the account

B
Account type
Switch to a creator account. Don’t do a business account, Zucc doesn’t want small businesses

U
to succeed so he will slow the growth of your page if it’s a business.

Do a creator account, this way Instagram knows you’re ready to post content and keep people
scrolling on their platform and not out doing G shit and making money like you.
CL
Their goal is to keep users on the platform for as long as possible. That is a majority of the algo.
Watch time and engagement is the whole game.
Y
Here’s how you switch to creator account:

1. Edit Profile
PP

2. Switch to professional account

RI
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

3. Follow the steps instagram walks you through, set the account category as
something related to your niche, if you can’t find it do something like “car
dealership” or “community” doesn’t matter that much, they don’t have
every specific option

Drafts
Make a few draft posts, this will tell instagram again that you’re ready to rip. This may seem
stupid but it makes a huge difference. The little things count. Start with 3-5 drafts. More wont
hurt.

B
Engage with friends!

U
They don’t need to actually be your friends. But you do need to be commenting on posts in your
niche and liking videos that would be good to repost. Do this at least 3 times a week when

CL
you’re starting for about 10-15 minutes. This is one of “the little things that count” that I
mentioned. It tells Instagram that you’re a real person and further solidifies what niche you’re in.

If you can find a way to post consistently valuable comments on other creator’s posts, this will
help you blow up. I have not tested it but a creator @masonrayparker used to comment on
hundreds of posts a day “who else is high af rn” while also posting some kind of edgy reels (he
has since deleted them) but he has 1.5 million followers from comment farming.
Y
If you’re a grinder try this and let me know how it works! I would be wary of posting the same
thing too much, I know insta will limit how often you can comment the same thing to protect
against bots so going too overboard may be a detriment to your growth.
PP

Step 4 - Putting it into action

Posting Strategy
RI

1-3 times a day. Every fucking day. You can miss a few days and still be successful but the
whole key to this is consistency. Instagram growth, just like anything else in life, is about
showing up every day. This shit is really easy to be completely honest. It takes 20 minutes a day
and you don’t even need to use your own content.

Here’s the KEY to this guide and making it work: Leveraging the remix feature on instagram.

You’re gonna look for videos with the following criteria

- 1m+ views
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

- Original audio with less than 100 reels posted to it. The less the better.

Congrats. Now you’re an expert! It’s that easy. Mostly…

Content Strategy
You are going to need to optimize your posts to what your audience wants to see. You want to
reward the viewer with some form of dopamine for watching your videos. In any given niche
your videos should follow one or more of the following criteria:

● Funny - (memes)

B
● Interesting - (fun facts that they might not know)
● A new skill / improving on a skill
● Cute - (women love pet videos, if you go through your girlfriend’s tik tok feed its like 80%

U
dogs)
● How to use something better - (iPhone camera tricks to take better photos)
● Sad
● Inspiring
CL
They are paying you with their attention so obviously you need to provide valuable content to
keep them interested. The important part with your content is keeping the short attention spans
active while also engaging your audience’s emotions to get them addicted to your page.

You’re gonna post 1-3 times a day for optimal results. This has been shared on the Instagram
@creators page. If you really wanna grind, they say to do 1-3 posts a day and 3-5 stories a day.
Y
That is like a full time fucking job though so fuck the stories unless you’re paying a VA to do that
shit.
PP

I usually do 1 when I wake up, one around lunch time, and one before dinner. This method has
proven 1M views in 30 days across 4 accounts. It works, you just need to be consistent.

Hashtags
RI

Do 3-5 but no more than 5 hashtags per post. You want to generally do

#accountname #niche #keywordrelatedtovideo

That is what I have found to work best but obviously test other strategies and keep up to date
with what instagram wants from you. For now, stick to the 3-5 and it seems to work well.

They like people to post trending shit. So use trending audios if you can’t find an original audio,
use trending hashtags. The “niche” hashtag should probably be pretty fucking broad, 10m+
posts is ideal.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Captions
when you do a caption you wanna optimize for seo so do a quick comment on the video, can be
dumb as saying this on a dog style video:

wow such a good boy

follow @accountname for daily dog videos

If you love dogs and want to see more dog content we post the cutest and fluffiest dogs
every single day. We love animals and furry friends. Blah blah blah include keywords.

B
#accountname #dog #somethingrelatedtovideo

U
Put a spaces in between the lines or your caption will look together like this and nobody gonna
read that shit:

wow such a good boy

CL
follow @accountname for daily dog videos
If you love dogs and want to see more dog content we post the cutest and fluffiest dogs
every single day. We love animals and furry friends. Blah blah blah include keywords.
#accountname #dog #somethingrelatedtovideo

It doesn’t look good and it’s hard to comprehend. Use something as a spacer.
Y
Multiplying your engagement
Reply to every comment for as long as possible. If a video blows up week 1 and gets 20k views
PP

and 6 comments you’re gonna like and reply to every comment. You want them to respond to
this comment.

We want people to get emotional to bait them to respond. If you slightly offend them, 90% of
people get super defensive. Don’t be a dick but if someone tells you to “get some original
RI

content” feel free to call them broke and ask what color their bugatti is or say “This page is a
project for my class analyzing the activity of losers who talk shit on instagram”

Have some fun with it but again don’t be a dick, you will get penalized by insta if you’re too
much of an asshole.

if you can keep it up instagram only sees “wow this guy is getting a lot of comments,
must be a good video” now it starts getting pushed to thousands of people.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

by week 4 your video has 174k views, 33.9k likes, 42 comments. With more likes flowing in
about every minute at least. (I did this on 2 pages. The bulk of my 1M views were literally
from 2 posts)

🥰
You can bait responses by saying funny, out of pocket, respectful shit, just by saying i love u
This depends on niche. I lean more towards telling people I love them on my page with a
30-60 year old female audience, I lean more towards telling kids they’re lazy on my 18-30 year
old male audience.

B
Step 5 - Monetization
Here’s the fun part! Once you have an audience there are a million ways to make them give you

U
their money. Here’s a few good ideas.

Sell the account

CL
Once you get 10k, 20k, 50k followers you can sell the page for thousands of dollars. Easy, then
build it again. Or just create 1 page a month and have a revolving door of accounts’

Assuming it’s gonna take 6 months to build and you can have 7 accounts per device, you can
build, sell, build, sell, and you can probably make a few hundred thousand a year like that.
Y
Funnel people to your existing business
Ok so maybe you sell sneakers or own a sauna. You don’t want to be scraping and reposting
PP

other people’s content on your main page. That would be dumb. You should be posting your
own content on there.

You’re gonna use the 70/30 rule here. On the new page, 1 out of every 3 posts is going to
plug your business, you use the other 2 to keep followers and engagement rolling in and that
RI

third one to make sure people are going to your page now. Awesome. Wealth and fame.

New Business
It’s been 6 months, a year. You now have 10k, 20k, 100k followers. That is 100k people that see
your free ads every day. 100k impressions paid would cost almost a grand. So you have now
created a digital asset.

This instagram account is free advertising now, post with the 70/30 rule and plug the products
on your shopify store. I would build an audience before starting your store, Shopfiy does get
expensive when you aren’t generating revenue.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

You should use this page alongside paid ads and watch your store take off like a rocket.

Affiliate marketing
Plug my businesses, plug your friend’s businesses, plug Amazon, take a percentage of all sales.
Sell this guide. This way you can take a piece of the pie without doing any work or taking any
financial risk.

I have lost thousands of dollars learning ads and making good creatives. This is not something
most people are willing to do so if that sounds like you you should start with affiliate marketing.

B
Amazon’s affiliate program offers a 10% or less commission that fucking sucks. I usually do 20%
standard commission but I’m willing to do 30% of revenue you generate on my stores and 50%

U
on this guide once I begin selling it.

This offer will only be available in the Friends & Family version of this guide so don’t let it slide
by you. I’m trying to save you from a crappy job and boring life in the easiest way I see fit.
CL
If you want to make thousands of dollars of internet money alongside me with none of your own
financial risk, this is a great place to start.

You might be saying “why only 30% blah blah” if you want 100% of the revenue, you can:

● Read 10-20 books

Y
● Watch hundreds of hours of podcasts
● Get an LLC
● Open business bank accounts
PP

● Put $2000 in a business bank account

● Have a 750+ credit score to get a good credit line
● Learn how to make ads
● Learn how to run ads
● Learn copywriting
RI

● Learn to build stores and select products

● Learn how to find a supplier at a good rate
● Risk $1000 per day or more on ad spend that does not guarantee a positive return.
● Set up payment processing that won’t hold your money
● Get a d-u-n-s number to set up apple pay (this takes a month. Absolute pain in the ass)
● Respond to all the idiots sending customer support emails
● Get suppliers that don’t fuck you
● Find products

Or you can have the opportunity to learn from me and with me while banking off of a $0
investment. Don’t be greedy when you’re starting, you will never succeed like that.
Instagram Scaling Guide - Version RIPPY. May, 2023 @maxsperanza_

Now that you hopefully understand the year of learning it took to even get to the ground floor
where I’m standing now, if you are interested in a head start contact me and I’ll let you know
what we can work on.

I want to encourage you to run your own stores as well, I’m here to help with anything in that
realm. Send me a text and I can assume I probably know the answer.

Final thoughts
This is a long term building of a digital asset. It will likely not work on your first try. I ran 7 pages

B
for 2 weeks to test what works and I ended up cutting 3 of them. I now have tried new things
and run 7 accounts again in a more timely fashion. I probably spend about an hour a day on
instagram. The biggest challenge is consistency honestly. Post every day and you’ll be okay

U
I would suggest doing the same. Volume is king. Good luck growing on instagram and pulling
money out of the sky.
CL
It really is that easy, you just gotta trust the process.

STAY RIPPY!
