Importance of Entrepreneurship
• Entrepreneurship drives economic growth. When people start
businesses, they create jobs, boost local economies, and
contribute to the overall prosperity of a country.
• It sparks innovation. Entrepreneurs come up with new ideas
and solutions, pushing society forward. Think of them as
inventors and problem solvers.
Types of Entrepreneurship
1. Small Business Entrepreneurship: This is when someone
starts a small, often local, business, like a neighborhood cafe or a
family-owned store.
2. Social Entrepreneurship: Social entrepreneurs aim to create
positive social or environmental change through their businesses.
They want to make the world a better place while making a profit.
3. High-Growth Startups: These are the companies with the
potential to grow rapidly and disrupt entire industries. Think of
tech startups like Google or Facebook.

well.
Explain the activity: Let participants know that they will be working in groups to
brainstorm and pitch a new entrepreneurial idea. They should create a fictional
business or project.
Provide a scenario: Set the stage by presenting a scenario to the participants.
For example, "You and your group have been given Php 10,000 in seed funding
to start a business that solves a specific problem in your community. You have
one hour to brainstorm and create a pitch."
Brainstorming (20-30 minutes): In their groups, participants should brainstorm
their business or project ideas. Encourage them to consider:
The problem they want to solve
The target audience or market
The product or service they will offer
The unique selling proposition (what sets them apart)
How they plan to use the $10,000 seed funding
Certainly! Here's an interactive activity to introduce
entrepreneurship to a group of learners:
Activity: "Entrepreneurship Brainstorm"
Debrief Questions:
What did you find challenging about coming up with a
business idea?
What was the most interesting or innovative idea you
heard during the pitches?
How did your group make decisions and work together
during the activity?
What did you learn about the entrepreneurial mindset
from this exercise?
This activity not only introduces the concept of
entrepreneurship but also encourages participants to think
