With an organisation of your choice. Examine the reasons why
communication is considered as the life blood of an organisation.

Communication refers to the ability to convey and receive


information like ideas thoughts feelings and its either done verbally
or non verbally.
In an organisation like a school, communication is conveyed through
channels like emails, news letters, conferences, staff meetings,
assemblies, phone calls, face to face meetings, written reports,
school websites.
In a well-established organisation like a school, communication plays
a virtual role to the success of the school in various ways as stated
below.
Resolves conflicts and issues within and outside the school
environment. Open communication helps to address concerns and
prevent mis-understandings.
Supports decision making. Effective communication addresses
various ideas from the staff and stake holders thus enabling informed
decision making.
Promotes transparency and accountability. Clear and effective
communication ensures that stake holders are informed about
polices, procedures and expectations of the school.
Enhances students’ success. Effective communication between
teachers, students and parents ensures that students receive
appropriate support, guidance and resources to attain academic
excellence.
Facilitates collaboration and the work. Communication enables
teachers, administrators and students to work together seamlessly
promoting a positive and productive working environment in the
school.
Builds positive relationships within the school environment. Effective
communication builds trust, respect among stake holders.
Encourages innovation and growth. Effective and clear
communication facilitates the sharing of ideas, thoughts and
innovative approaches.
However, effective communication in a school is hindered through
various mechanisms like language barrier, Technological issues and
information overload.
Inconclusion, effective communication is the life blood of an
organisation since it facilitates collaboration, transparency, students’
success, positive relationships. By prioritizing communication and
implementing strategies to overcome challenges, schools can create
a supportive and productive environment that benefits all
stakeholders.
