Input / Dataset

The dataset is downloaded from website:-


http://kdd.ics.uci.edu/databases/msweb/msweb.html.
The data is in an ASCII-based sparse-data format.
For example, ’A,1277,1,”NetShow for PowerPoint”,”/stream”’
Where: ’A’ –> attribute line,
’1277’ –>attribute ID number for an area of the website (called
Vroot), ’1’ may be ignored,
”NetShow for PowerPoint” –> title of the Vroot,
”/stream” –> URL relative to ”http://www.microsoft.com”

Conclusion

Web Page Recommendation is to recommend the pages that web


users are interested in.
This can be done using techniques,such as PLWAP-Mine,PL4UP-
Mine.
PLWAP-Mine has a limitation that if the database gets updated and
there are to many small frequent itemsets generated then PLWAP
will not perform good in terms of execution time.
To utilize the advantages and also to overcome the limitations of
PLWAP. PL4UP-mine technique can be proved as more advanta-
geous.
If ontology of the website is used along with the technique then
recommendation results can be more precise.
