Example-1:
Standard Penetration Test (SPT) N values with depth is shown in Figure 1.b. Calculate the corrected SPT
N values for energy ratio (Er) of 60%. Assume hammer efficiency (ηH) is 67%, bore hole diameter
correction (ηB) is 1.0, and rod length correction (ηR) is 0.75 from 0 to 4 m and 0.85 from 4 to 6 m.
Assume that standard sampler was used in the test. Assume that the soil is granular.
