This is huge
because if you ever want to sell your company sell your eCommerce Storen business
to an investor or someone who is you know snatching up and buying up multiple e-
commerce stores for their big fat portfolio they're going to want to see standard
operating procedures if you don't have this are not going to buy your business. So
they want to see the growth year over year but more importantly they want to see
this year. So the true value the lifeblood the manual to your business and how it
all works. Right. So then S.O.P really just doing a couple of things here we're
defining the goal of the task defining the people to handle it defining the tools
to do it and then defining the steps to get it done. That's all a standard
operating procedure is going to give you an example of a sec and you're going to be
optimizing with your team with your project manager with your members and your team
members over time optimizing each standard operating procedure to make it faster
make for a more efficient and make it better. Right.
And the something interesting is everyone should read every standard operating
procedure S.O.P right because you never know who could get sick or who could be off
vacationing or who knows right. So it's important that everybody has some sort of
grasp and understanding of every task in the business. Just in case you need to
move rolls around any time and these are basically called Swing rules because like
I just said people can get sick have leaves or vacations. Now.
Would the S.O.P what's important to have on there the title the name the date the
description the steps even throw in images and videos. Right. So you could even
take the training inside a store formula and put each task into a S.O.P do it all
professionally and neatly like this. Right so at the top you have your title. Then
you have the department the date you could have a sign offs if you want the purpose
definitions and then all the steps the procedure underneath. Right. So this is very
very helpful to be able to do this properly. So again if you ever do sell your
business your eCommerce store down the road you have all these recipes ready to go
to hand over to the new buyer new owner of your business and they'll be really
really happy with that.
We have a soapies for every part every segment of our business with commerce HQ as
you can see right here this is adding a collection. We have all the steps we have
images. This is basically a S.O.P for our commerce HQ software. Just a really quick
example. Now with SEPs it's best practice to record your screen with video while
performing the task. So that's the easiest way to record system process or task.
And also obviously train people to do it for you right so you would get these
videos to your viewers and then get them to create a proper standard operating
procedure that works very very very well.
And that's really the best way for them to learn as well because not only are they
watching the task they're also going to be typing it up so they're doing multiple
learning methods and it's really going to sink in hard with them. Right. The motto
here with Center Opera procedures is you do it. We do it or I do it we do it and
you do it to type. And then something interesting from Benjamin Franklin here.
Tell me and I forget teach me and I remember involve me and I learn. OK. So it's
important to do all three things. Tell them teach them involve them and get them to
make the systems and processes even better and optimize and more efficient. K let's
talk a bottleneck. So funny. Picture this bottle right here. You know don't be a
bottle neck in your business. I see this happen a lot as well where you were really
your own worst enemy. You're holding yourself back from breaking through that glass
ceiling from scaling your business into multiple seven figures don't be your own
bottom line in your business. You must lead. Go and and be able to trust people to
help you grow your business. Danladi time is her greatest asset right. You only
have so much of it to give.
So it's important to buy that time back to buy help and to have more time to design
the lifestyle of your dreams. If you give over the controls if you stop becoming a
bottlenecking on a business your business is going to flourish. It's going to scale
so quickly right. So what are the real benefits though of not being a bottleneck in
your business taking days off under one. Right.
You can basically just say hey I'm going to be out for a week and be out of office
and just go on vacation. You know and things are running in the background with
your team. It's amazing. You don't have to work every day. Right you don't be
hammering on a computer every day all day long like 9:00 to 5:00 job. Forget that
work one two hours in the morning and you're done. You know eventually be working
just four hours per week if you want to because your team is going to be outsourced
all the task being done for you. And again the goal here is to really decide design
the lifestyle of your dreams freeing up your time to spend with your family travel
whatever you want to do. OK. So we talked a lot about the structure and why all
these things are important how to set it up and use all these tools but now it's
talking about where to actually find the help.
Where do we go and by the help find this good talent that people who are
experienced and we can outsource all these tasks to well the best place is a pork
dot com. OK we found all of our team members on here it's excellent to focus on
that one place crupper dot com. You can sign up for free and you get a certain
looking for talent to buy people not to buy people to buy help. So tons of
trustworthy inexpensive talent we find comes from the Philippines. We've tried
people from all over the world. We love people from the Philippines. They're just
they're so trustworthy so polite so professional and so experienced.
So we always hire from the Philippines for e-commerce stores and you know they're
doing phone calls or anything like that you have to worry about the accent or
whatnot. So it works perfectly you know focusing on experience number one their
work hours. Now checking that's going to go through Couple screenshots here with
you. Their success rate and their reviews came after the supplier after you invite
them to the job. You want to instant message them the instant messenger actually
right built into work which is really nice and you can even believe it on a call
them directly on there or you can do a call with them on Skype. Right. Really
important to suss out their attitude. That's the most important thing is attitude
right. How did they how do they address you to this day. OK sir. Thank you sir. Are
they very polite and professional. Right.
You'll find that with a lot of people in the Philippines. And are they willing to
learn and help grow your business or are they excited about e-commerce in general
in the industry right. So yeah you can only really gauge that on a call. Now the
interview process you want to give them a test with live tasks even just one small
task but give them a task and a test and see how they go right whether it's
fulfilling a few orders or handling of customer service tickets. That's the best
way to gauge their true experience and how they're going to handle things and tasks
inside your company for your team.
And you really want to make it hard to see if they can figure it out on their own
or how to get to a solution on their own. So if you give them multiple tasks one of
the tasks can be really difficult. And if you have someone who goes onto Google and
goes and tries to find a way themself to get to the solution those people are
rockstars right because they're thinking inside the box they're self-sufficient and
they're gonna be able to do things on their own which is critical. So you want to
ask about their work experience and a good and bad Synar scenario that happened
recently in their job history. Right.
That's pretty standard. Ask them how they overcome the situation to make it better
like if they experienced a really irate customer how did they handle them. How did
they get them back back. The company's side is that they were happy and they would
come back and buy again. And then what does the greatest strength and greatest
weaknesses see if they're honest with you. And they really bring those things up
it's important to know that as well. And I can give you a lot of insight into into
if there weakness could really slow down or hinder their job performance that could
be a red flag as well. Some things are interesting there and again are they really
said about e-commerce and Wallon all of all about it's like are they obsessed with
Amazon or Jeff Bezos or something. I don't know. Just some good indicators that
they're excited about the industry in general is very very good. And lastly
communication I'll say it again and again.
So important communication is there that they're not shy that they're confident
that they're going to be clearly on a schedule and reporting to you on a daily
basis. Important to have that good communication. And of course seemed to have good
writing in English. Good writing and speaking skills in English. English language.
So you don't want to have someone who can't fluently talk with you or speak with
you very important fluently and you can set up that in work in one of the settings.
