Okay, since the majority has in, I'll just continue with my sharing today. I’m
going to share about an Excel feature that might be useful for everyone – We
called it "Excel Slicer."
Function:
Standard filters are static, hidden & working in the background. While the
slicer is on the canvas – its show all the available buttons on the screen,
which we can easily access and quickly filter out the data we need.
Then here is the components or guidance I extract from website for your
reference.
Another example I did it recently on FS. For ease of reference and record-
keeping, I sorted the supporting from a long list of GL.
We proceed to do some demos, and you'll all have a good idea of how to do
this and apply it to your current portfolio, after which you can make some
changes.
This is the CVS format for a bank statement; switch to Excel format so that it is editable.
I need to seek entry into the collection from delivery partner sales, master visa, or amex monthly.
I don’t want a filter like what we usually do by using the standard filter. (show standard filter)
As we know we want the Credit portion, then we sort and delete the Debit
portion first. I delete the unnecessary item in credit side, then we create the
slicer from here.
RENAME – Monthly Sales
Columns – can design the style we want, whether horizontal or vertical.
Then we can see it become tidier and more presentable.
Another is I’m create AWP supporting for FS. Extract from GL.
For this example, it doesn’t have the filter option, so we need to add one
more column and set up for the filter buttons.
Arrange and completed the name then you can do the same step to create
the slicer.
This is the 3rd example, I modified and added in 2 column and then create
the slicer.
Based on situation, in this care we can produce 2-3 or even more filter list to
filter simultaneously.
So each of the pic able to filter out and check the outstanding tasks needed
to be done in certain period by simply click on the buttons.
