However, social media platforms provide easy access to a wide range of information and learning
resources. Teenagers can learn about specific topics, explore their interests, and share knowledge with
others. One such platform is short video content

Argument 1

Social media actually brings more positive impacts. Teenagers who engage in delinquent behavior
usually have issues stemming from other factors, such as family or their environment. Social media is
just a tool, not the root cause. If teenagers have a strong foundation at home and school, social media
can become a place for them to learn, seek inspiration, or even channel positive hobbies. So, it’s unfair
to fully blame social media for juvenile delinquency. Moreover, social media can also be a tool to
monitor or keep track of teenagers’ activities. Many parents and teachers use social media to ensure
that teenagers stay on the right path. With open communication and proper supervision, social media
can actually help teenagers avoid negative influences. After all, juvenile delinquency existed long before
social media came around. So, we should focus more on education and the surrounding environment
rather than simply blaming social media.

Argument 2

Returning to the idea of a strong foundation for each individual, social media can also serve as a solid
foundation for teenagers to engage in positive activities. For instance, social media can enhance
strategic thinking skills. It helps young people develop their ability to think strategically by allowing them
to compare various sources of information and stay updated with ongoing news. By doing so, they can
improve their strategic thinking and stay informed about current events.

Additionally, social media provides opportunities for sharing and self-expression. It offers a platform for
teenagers to express their creativity, share opinions, and showcase their talents through content like
photos, videos, and writing. This can boost their confidence and help them develop their identity. These
factors can positively impact someone's psychological state, encouraging them to engage more in
positive activities.

Argument 3

With the right approach, teenagers can learn to use social media wisely and gain positive benefits, such
as knowledge, inspiration, and social support, while minimizing the risks of negative impacts like anxiety,
social pressure, or exposure to unhealthy content.

Teach teenagers the importance of protecting their privacy on social media, including setting up privacy
settings for their accounts and being cautious about sharing personal information.

Social media indeed provides many positive impacts, such as:

1. Enhancing adaptability skills

2. Improving skill sets

3. Increasing technological adaptability

4. Enhancing cultural adaptability

5. Serving as a source of information and learning

With that being said, we reaffirm that social media offers numerous benefits for teenagers' lives. Social
media can be a tool for sharing positive things. It’s not limited to school learning but can also relate to
aspects of life, religion, and community.
