DOOR LOCK DOOR CONTROL BATTERY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:
· Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
· The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Airbag System)

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.
for Type A:

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be
required before disconnecting the cable from the
negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to
read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-)
battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Airbag System)

CAUTION:
· Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to
disable the SRS system.
· If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may
cause a serious accident.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be
initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3.REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 55302A

4.REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 55303B

5.REMOVE DOOR CONTROL BATTERY 8598A

a. Remove the 2 bolts.

b. Detach the hook and remove the door control


battery.

c. Disconnect the connector.
