Reflective Essay on CHED Memorandum Order No. 15 Series of 2019

Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order Number 15, Series of 2019 which is on
the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for Graduate Programs has dramatically changed the
process in completing Graduate Programs. The changes will further strategically developed
individuals to posses competencies according to what is demanded now adays in the global market..

According to the CMO the Master of Science/Master of Arts Academic Track and the Doctor of
Philosophy Academic Track/Doctor of Philosophy by Research graduate students in the Philippines
are now required to publish or, at least, show evidence of acceptance of research studies in refereed
journals, or nationally or internationally produced journals. The Importance of research to the society
and its connection to prosperity and competitiveness have long been proven. The adoption of
international publishing standards by developing nations, like in the case of the Philippines, hasn't
gotten much attention, because it has opened to us Filipinos the competency which is very vital for an
individual to be globally competitive. Aside to that is has been also beneficial to the country growth as
it will open the researcher sympathy to what the country truly needs as a nation. Readers who
encounter same situation will be guided with what is the most suitable solution to the problem
encounter. It also aids readers to develop mechanism and correct behavior to the problems
encounter. Since is is internationally published it offers to the world a help and by that Filipino will be
notable acclaim as writers internationally.

Because of these we, as developing-nation writers, notably Filipino scholars, lack experience
and supervision, publication pollution is on the rise. To assert these ideals that this article provides,
itmust be important to take note that effort betweenmentor and the mentee is very important. It
denotes that for a succesful supervision a collaborative efficient effort between the mentor and the
mentee from the conception of the research to its presentation down to the time of publishing it is very
vital. As a result, this policy assessment highlights different obstacles to the publication of student
work, important queries that can elicit thoughtful responses from readers, instructors, and
administrators, to mention a few, and mentorship as the solution to the difficulties that are starting to
surface. In this context, mentoring refers to a collaborative process between a mentor and mentee
that spans the stages of research conception to presentation or publishing.
With all these in concept we are completely in a good avenue where quality individuals and
sustainable progress in the field of continuous education is at our grasp. This maybe a challenging in
the part of those who wants to obtain mastery in their fields but with constant adherence to the
guidelines, with vision to make a difference and to create a better results plus the important factor of
good supervision we can be in the future a nation of writers.
