Homogeneous system of linear equations

Gauss Elimination method

i) 2 x+ y+ z =10 ;3 x +2 y +3 z=18 ; x+ 4 y +9 z=16


ii) 2 x− y +3 z=9 ; x+ y + z=6 ; x− y + z=2
iii) 5 x+ y+ z+ w=4 ; x +7 y + z +w=12 ; x + y +6 z + w=−5 ; x + y + z +4 w=−6

Jacobi’s method:

i) 2 x+ y+ 6 z=9 , 8 x+3 y +2 z=13 , x+5 y + z=7

ii) 8 x− y + z=18 , 2 x+5 y −2 z=3 , x + y−3 z=−6

Gauss Seidel method:

i) 20 x+ y−2 z=17 , 3 x+20 y −z=−18 , 2 x−3 y +20 z=25


ii) 27 x +6 y−z=85 , x + y +54 z=110 , 6 x+15 y +2 z=72
