Angles
Angles
- **Angle**: An angle is formed when two rays meet at a common endpoint called the **vertex**.
The amount of "turn" between the two rays is called the angle.
- **Right Angle**: Measures exactly **90°**. It looks like the corner of a square.
- **Acute Angle**: Measures **less than 90°**. It’s a sharp or narrow angle.
- **Obtuse Angle**: Measures **greater than 90° but less than 180°**. It’s wider than a right
angle.
- **Reflex Angle**: Measures **more than 180° but less than 360°**.
- **Adjacent Angles**: Two angles that share a common vertex and a common side, but do not
overlap.
2. Align one arm of the angle with the 0° mark on the protractor.
3. Read the degree measurement where the other arm crosses the protractor scale.
- Examples of angles can be found in everyday objects, such as the hands of a clock, corners of a
book, or the turn of a road.
- **Clock Hands**: The angles formed by the hands of a clock at different times.
