DETAILED LESSON PLAN

in PHYSICAL EDUCATION
I. Objectives
At the end of this lesson, students will be able to;
a. understand the invasion games, its concept, and principle;
b. execute the different basic skills in invasion games; and
c. exhibit a positive attitude by valuing teamwork.

1. Opening Prayer

6. Motivation
But before we start our discussion, let's play
"CATERPILLA RACE".
I will group you into two and each group select 5
players to play caterpillar race.

Five student stands in line and places a round


object such as balloon between every two people
standing next to each other. The goal is to move
together forward without using hands to hold
balloons in place. The team that finishes in the
fastest time will be the winner.

that you have the idea and you are familliar about
it and today, I will discuss the concepts, principles
and skills needed to win in invasion games.

2. Analysis
Now, in your own word or own understanding,
what is invasion game? Yes (Student B)

Student B: Invasion game is a team game and


based on the pictures, invasion game needs
cooperation and strategies to defeat the opponent.

Very good! Invasion games or territory game are


team games where the purpose is to invade the
opponent’s territory and score a goal or point.
Teams share the same playing area as they attempt
to both score and prevent the other team from
scoring. (Listen carefully)
These are typically fast-paced games that need
teamwork in order to control the ball, keep
possession, move into a scoring position, and
prevent the opposition from scoring.

performance to be able to win. And also to win the
game you need to have teamwork, communication
and strategic thinking.
What is teamwork?

It is working as a team, with roles and


responsibilities. It involves planning together and
playing together to be successful. It is deciding on
team strategies and playing tactically asa team,
using all the players’ strength.

What do you think is the importance of teamwork?

The importance of teamwork when gaming is


respecting other players and working well with
your teammates is essential if you are going to
develop and improve as a player. Not only does it
help to improve your gameplay but it will also
make you stand out as a valuable player whom
others will respect and enjoy playing with.

Yes, very good! also teamwork can improve


communication, to pass, defend, and share different
strategies to win the game. This is also all about self
discipline, attitude and presence of mind.

4. Application

Now, I want to see your strategies, teamwork and


skills in invasion games.
I will group you into two, you will play "ZIGZAG
BOUNCE BALL" you have five minutes to
prepare and show us how to play with teamwork.

Directions:

1. Player #1 bounces the ball across the player


#2 or the first player on the other line.

2. Player #2 bounces the ball across to player #3


or beside player #1.

3.Continue the relay until the last player


receives the ball and then he/she bounce it back
to the player whom he/she received the ball.

4. The ball relay continues until it reached the


first player or player # 1.

5. The first team to finish gets a point.

6. After 7 games, the team who gets the highest


number of points wins.

strategies from everyone, and both groups showed
