1. Rationale:
Software engineering is the foundation for professional processes to be
followed involving principal, technique, and practices for software
development. The course provides a framework for software
professional for building quality assure software product. It enables
student to blend the domain specific knowledge with the programming
skill to create quality software product.

2.Aim of Micro project:

• To understand the problem statement of our project.
• To find out functional and non-functional requirements of Car
Showroom Management System.
• To draw the Data Flow diagram, Decision Table as well as Timeline
Chart of the Car Showroom management system.
• The accounting work of the various records becomes easier.

3.Course Outcomes Achieved:

a. Select suitable Software Process model for software development.
b. Prepare software requirement specifications.
c. Use Software modeling to create data designs.
d. Apply project management an quality assurance principles in
software development.

4. Literature Review:
Car Showrooms are complex organizations that require efficient and
effective management to ensure profitability and sustainability. Car
Showroom management systems are designed to provide Cars Showrooms
with the tools and resources necessary to manage their operations, financial
transactions, customer data, and risk. This literature review will examine
existing research on car showrooms management systems and identify key
areas of focus for the design of a new system.
9

5. Actual Procedure Followed:

• To develop project firstly we understand the working of Car showroom
management.
• We understand the problem statement of our project and solutions for
them.
• We collected the requirements as well as information regarding our
micro-project.
• We designed Data Flow diagram and Activity diagram related to our
project.
• We found functional and non-functional software specification
requirement for our project.
• Prepare the proposal for our Microproject and then presented it to
the respective teacher.
• After getting inspected by our subject teacher, we started our
actual work of Microproject.
• Then we find out the size of project using function point.
• Then, we will create a report which gives a thorough idea of all our
Microproject.
• At last, we present our report with Microproject to our subject
teacher.

8. Output of project:

Problem statement for Car Showroom Management System:

1. Customer Management
2. Sales Management
3. Effective communication
4. Collaboration between different departments and employees
5. Accurate data handling and security measures.
Solutions:
1. Use of centralized database:
A centralized database allows easy access to data for all departments,
reduces redundancy, and improves data accuracy. It can help to
streamline processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
2. Implementation of security measures:
A Car Showroom management system handles sensitive data like
personal and financial information of customers. Therefore it is crucial
to implement proper security measures like encryption, firewalls and
access controls to protect the data from unauthorized access and
breaches.
3. Integration with other systems:
Integrating the Car Showroom management system with other
system like payment gateways, credit bureaus, and regulatory
authorities can improve efficiency and reduce errors.
4. Automation of routine tasks:
Automating routing tasks like generating reports, sending notifications,
and updating customer records can save time and reduce error.
5. Regular maintenance and updates:
Regular maintenance and updates are essential to keep Car
Showroom management system up-to-date and functioning
11

correctly. This can prevent downtime, improve security, and ensure

compliance with changing regulations.
