Various Types of Coding-Decoding:

 Type – I: Leter Coding

Example: If ELCSUM is the code for MUSCLE, which of the following word has the code
LATIPAC?

 Type – II: Direct Substtuton Coding

Example: If HINDU is coded a 61257 and MAN is coded a 932, then INDIAN be writen in the
code language.

 Type – III: Substtuton for Words

Example: If ‘eraser’ is called ‘scale’, ‘scale’ is called ‘sharpner’, ‘sharpner’ is called ‘pin’, ‘pin’ is
called ‘bag’, and ‘bag’ is called ‘pencil’, what will a person erase with?

 Type – IV: Word Codes / Numeral Codes:

Example: In a certain code language ‘put hir sir fn’ means ‘good sweet fruit’, ‘te dip sig’ means
‘beautful red rose’, ‘sig to fn’ means ‘rose and fruit’. Which of the following stands for ‘and’ in
that language?

 Type – V: Alphabetcal Codes are assigned to Number/Symbol

Conditons:

I. If the frst digit is odd and the last digit is e<en, the codes for the frst and last digits are
