EPISODE 5

FADE IN:

INT. SNACK BAR - NIGHT

James is drinking himself to stupor and crying as he flashes

back to the scene where he saw Tony and Sylvia kissing. He
calls the servant and pays his bill before leaving.

EXT. SNACK BAR - CONTINUOUS

He staggers to his car and gets in. Inside the car he breaths
heavily before starting the car and speeding off.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT

Sylvia and Tony are on a video call.

TONY
You know are the best thing that has
ever happened me right

SYLVIA
Are you sure?

TONY
Come on, I'm sure you know that.

SYLVIA
Of course I do, I was just pulling
your legs.

MONTAGE

- James speeding in the streets, still crying.

- Sylvia and Tony confess love for each other.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT

SYLVIA
So when do you want me to come?

Car sounds offscreen

SYLVIA (CONT'D)
I think he's back.

TONY
Oh ok! So what about tomorrow?

SYLVIA
Alright, I'll be there.

TONY
That's my girl. See you then

SYLVIA
Okay bye

TONY
Love you

SYLVIA
Love you too.

She hangs up the call. James walks in looking stained and

breathing heavily.

SYLVIA (CONT'D)
Babe? Are you alright?

JAMES
For how long has it been going on?

SYLVIA
What are you talking about? *

JAMES
Sylvia, for how long have you been
making a fool out of me?

SYLVIA
I don't understand. What do you
mean?

JAMES
(tears run down his
cheek)
How could you? How could you Sylvia?

Sylvia wonders

JAMES (CONT'D)
I saw everything that happened at
the birthday party. I saw and heard
how you kissed and prophesied love
to my friend Tony.

Sylvia is shocked.

JAMES (CONT'D)
What did I ever do to deserve this?

Sylvia walks closer and tries to hold him

SYLVIA
Babe, please I can ex...

JAMES
...don't touch me. Don't you even
dare.

He stares at her for a while and walks out of the room.

Sylvia is shocked and frustrated.

INT. MARKETING AGENCY - DAY

Tony packs his stuff while Wendy spies on him. Then he walks
towards the door.

WENDY
Tony

Tony stops and hesitates for a while before turning

TONY
Yes...

WENDY
Ummm, never mind.

She sits. He stares for a while before turning to leave but

meets a heavy blow from James. They get into a fight while
Wendy struggles to separate them and cries for help.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - PARLOR - DAY

Sylvia is seated in the parlor, worried. Her phone rings,

is Tony calling. She doesn't answer. Then she hears James's
car drive in. She peeps through the window and quickly
returns to her seat. James come in with a thorn shirt.
Sylvia stands, he stares at her with anger and then exits to
the room. Sylvia is scared and wonders. Then her phone
beeps. Its a text message from Tony telling what happened.
This makes her more scared.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT

Sylvia is in bed alone. She is disturbed and not sleeping.

Tony calls severally but she doesn't answer and then switches
off her phone. After a while she walks out of the room.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - PARLOR - NIGHT

James is laid on the sofa, not sleeping. Sylvia comes in

and stands at a distance. She stares at him sadly.

INT. TONY'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT

Tony dials Sylvia's number but it's switched off. He throws

the phone away in anger and leans back in frustration.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - PARLOR - DAY

James is still laid on the sofa. Sylvia reluctantly walks

up to him.

SYLVIA
Please, can we talk?

He hesitates for a while then

JAMES
Okay, fine.

He sits up.

JAMES (CONT'D)
Let's talk about it. Sit down

She hesitates

JAMES (CONT'D)
Come on, sit

She reluctantly sits

JAMES (CONT'D)
So tell me, did you fuck him here?
Right in my house? While I was out
there working hard so we can have a
better life?

SYLVIA
Please don't talk like that

JAMES
Oh really?

SYLVIA
It's a long story

JAMES
A long story. A long story made you
fuck my friend in my own house?

SYLVIA
James please, you're hurting me

JAMES
See who is talking about hurt. You
have no idea what it feels like to
be hurt. You don't.

He cries. Sylvia cries too

SYLVIA
I'm so sorry. I don't know what
came over me.

She falls on her knees and begs for forgiveness. James feels
sorry for her. He hold her.

SYLVIA (CONT'D)
Please forgive me

Sylvia cries more.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - DAY

James and Sylvia broke into the room almost tearing each
other apart. He pushes her to the bed and takes off his
shirt. He gets on her and kisses her. She quickly turns
him over and takes control. She takes off her top. They
kiss and make love.

INT. JAMES'S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - LATER

James is fast asleep while Sylvia stares at him and reflects.

Then she walks out of the room.

INT. MARKETING AGENCY - DAY

Wendy calls Tony several times but gets no answer. She is

worried.
