“PASS PICK AND ANSWER ME’’
Let’s play a game! I have here a box
that contains multiplication equation.
this will be passed around by the
pupils with a music everyone will song
the song while passing the box. when I
stop the song/music whoever the pupil
holding the box should pic a piece of
paper and answer the given equation
in 10 second, failure to get the correct
answer will showcase their talent at
the end of the class. Either o sings a
song or dance.

Explain lesson
Our lesson for today is all about
describing the exponent and the base
in a number expressed in exponential
notation.
So, first what is exponential notation?
do you have any idea?
So exponential notation is the
shorthand way of writing repeated
multiplication and division.
Exponential notation is necessary to
keep track of extremely large and
small numbers.
the exponential notation has two parts
1. The base- the number that s
repeated in the multiplication of
division.
2. Exponent - the number of times the
multiplication or division is repeating
There are five kids went to the bakery
store to buy some breads, a piece of
bread cost five pesos, if each one of
them bought five breads how much
did they pay in all?
So, let’s solve this one!
We need to multiply 5 pesos which is
the cost of bread. to the number of
breads each one of them bought which
is 5 breads, to the number of kids
which is 5 kids, this gives us 5 x 5 x 5
this means that they paid 125 pesos in
all.
5 x 5 x 5 = 125
As you look at this equation, we can
see that number 5 is multiplied
repeatedly to the number itself three
times, this equation can be also
written in different form wherein 5
raised to cube (53) is equal to 125 this
example of (exponential form or
exponential petition).

base, exponent and factor form of this
exponential notation
in 93 what is the base?
Very good!
how about the exponent?
Amazing class!

are correct!
GROUP ACTIVITCY
The class will be divided into 3 groups.
Each group will be given the activity
sheet to accomplish the activity in 5
minutes. Each group should choose an
animal sound.
Remember the don’ts while the
activity is on-going:
1. Each member should help and
contribute towards accomplishing the
activity.
2. All members must stay in your
group area. Once a members seen
roaming around the other groups,
there will be a deduction from your
total points.
3. Once the activity sheet has been
passed, it can no longer be taken.
4. The group to finish first and get the
highest point will be the winner.
Direction: Complete the table by filling
the correct value.

of writing repeated multiplication?
