NOTE!
For Co-Pilot equipped machines a High quality USB storage device with at least 8GB free space is always required.

This service bulletin contains different programming instructions with TechTool.

NOTE!
Do not forget to reinstall the SS-connector when the programming of the software is completed. Otherwise, the machine could
end up in limp home mode and the secondary steering will stop working.
NOTE!
During programming, an ACM red central warning may appear. This is due to the programming and will be erased when the
programming is finished. After programming is performed, the battery main switch should be turned off for 3 minutes after key-
off before it is possible to erase all error codes in TechTool.
NOTE!
To avoid disturbances in the boom and tilt function after programming with this software, it is important to perform calibration
as follows:
Run TechTool op. 91202–3” Lift/Lower, Complete” and 91204–3 “Tilt In/Out, Complete” after the software programming is
completed.
In case of software programming issue, create a Service Techline call.
In case of software downloading issue, create a Support Tools Techline call.
Action (only valid CWL)
NOTE!
Before start of software programming, connector MO6401.3:1 on the secondary steering pump must be disconnected. If the
connector is not disconnected, the secondary steering pump will start and run during the programming process which can harm
the pump.
NOTE!
Do not forget to connect MO6401.3:1 connector on the secondary steering pump when the programming of the software is
completed. Otherwise, the machine could end up in limp home mode and the secondary steering could stop working.
Op nbr
1. Start TechTool and log in “online” (Connect to Central Systems). The first time after installation and every 28th day, also
select the Synchronize User Profile box.
5. Press [Search].
6. Select (check mark) the control unit(s) (possible to select 1–3 control units), which shall be reloaded or updated with
same or new software.
7. Choose the order alternative, either Reload control unit with existing software or Update control unit with new software.
9. When the download is completed, make sure that there is software downloaded by checking in the tab Stored Software.
14. When TechTool has finished the identification of the connected machine, select the tab Program.
15. Select the operation 17093–3 Program with stored software and follow the instructions to program the machine.
16. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
17. Restore the machine from service position.
18. Next time TechTool connects to central systems, the programming will be reported automatically.
Op nbr
This option updates the whole vehicle with the newest, complete software package including software for all nodes. If other
electronic control units are affected by the software update, they will also be updated at the same time even if not chosen to be
updated (check marked).
This option reloads only the selected electronic control unit with the software version that is currently in use by the control unit.
2. How to program machine (online)
Op nbr
1. Start TechTool and log in “online” (Connect to Central Systems). The first time after installation and every 28th day, also
select the Synchronize User Profile box.
5. When has finished the identification of the connected machine, select the tab Program.
6. Select operation 17026-3 Program control unit. Chose if you should "Update" or "Reload" the software and then follow
the instruction to program the machine.
7. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
Op nbr
This option updates the whole vehicle with the newest, complete software package including software for all nodes. If other
electronic control units are affected by the software update, they will also be updated at the same time even if not chosen to be

3. How to run a campaign (offline)
Op nbr
1. Start TechTool and log in “online” (Connect to Central Systems). The first time after installation and every 28th day, also
select the Synchronize User Profile box.
5. Press [Search].
6. If campaigns are available for the selected chassis, a "Campaign" tab with all campaigns will be shown.
9. When the download is completed, make sure that there is software downloaded by checking in the tab Stored Software.
14. When TechTool has finished the identification of the connected machine, select the tab Program.
15. Select the operation 17093–3 Program with stored software and follow the instructions to program the machine.
16. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
18. Next time TechTool connects to central systems, the programming will be reported automatically.
Op nbr

8. If the kit requires a hardware part number, write the part number and then press continue.
9. When the download is completed, make sure that there is software downloaded by checking in the tab .
14. When TechTool has finished the identification of the connected machine, select the tab Program.
15. Select operation 17093-3 Program with stored software and follow the instructions to program the machine.
16. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
18. Next time TechTool connects to central systems, the programming will be reported automatically.

6. Select operation 17054-3 Accessory Kit and follow the instructions to program the machine.
7. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.

select the "Synchronize user profiles" box.
7. Select in the click box, which control unit to replace, then choose part number.
9. When download is completed, make sure that the software is downloaded by checking in the tab "Stored Software".
15. When TechTool is finished with the identification of the connected machine, select the tab "Program".
16. Select operation 17093-3 Program with stored software and follow the instructions to program the machine.
17. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
19. Next time TechTool connects to central systems, the programming will be reported automatically.

6. Select operation 17092-3 Replace hardware and follow the instructions to program the machine.
7. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.

2. Write in model and serial number in manual selection for the concerned chassis.
8. In the software tab, check mark the Engine Control Module (EMS).
9. Select the order alternative "Update control unit with new software" and click "Send Order".
10. If there is a newer software available, the download of the software will start immediately; if not, a message will be
shown with the information that there is no newer software available. If there is not newer software, select to download
the same softwa
11. Go to the "Stored software" tab to verify that the software is downloaded.
12. Close the "Administrate Software New" tab and close TechTool before travelling to the machine.

4. Select operation 17093-3 Program with stored software and follow the instructions to program the machine.
5. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
6. Next time TechTool connects to central systems, the programming will be reported automatically.

6. Select Engine Control Module (EMS), then select programming option "Update Electronic Control Unit with latest
software" and then click "Program".

1. Login to TechTool.
2. Go to TechTool menu.
3. Select Administrate Software New.
5. Select the Order Alternative "Update control unit with new software".
8. In screen "Download", browse for your USB in the dropdown list "Select USB Flash Drive".
9. Press "Copy".

1. Insert the USB storage device in the USB port at the back of the Co-Pilot.
8. Remove the USB storage device from the USB port at the back of the Co-Pilot.

1. Login to TechTool and connect TechTool with the OBD-connector to the machine.
4. Select operation 17093-3 "Program with stored software" and click "Start".
5. Select operation 39796-3 "Telematics control unit, reset" and follow the instructions to perform the wireless control unit
reset.
NOTE!
Just click No or Close in case of the error message below.
The Data Received Errors can be shown if Co-Pilot programming is made online - make programming offline according to
instructions above.
